I always use the download now.

Apart from the odd "Network Error" from time to time I would'nt use anything else.

Would be nice if we were able to browse the forum within the client itself instead of having to open the browser at the same time, but we can't have everything in life that easy I suppose lol.

I love the DL Client and look forward to the new one.

I have no issue with the download or browser.

For the last few months I've mostly used the browser, mainly due to me not playing much and when I do decide to play I've flicked from the forum (in the browser) to the games and clicked register.

I even have the download installed and keep it updated!

So just me being lazy I guess, at the time I feel the urge to play.

i would love to use it as i like it all compact and seperate from my browser. But unfortunately the one thing that puts me off is it dosnt update as fast as online for me and also i cant you the scroll wheel on my mouse for it. I can on line and like that i can just turn it to go down the menus where as the downloadable version i have to point and click and pull on the scroll bar which to me is quite anoying when im doing other things.

Used browser since I started but recently tried downlaod to see what differences there were and I just find it much more slick and loads faster. 

Also a point made earlier about lack of search bar is great so tables are smaller which I like.

Furthermore now I've started using the download I get the orange flashing reminders that it's my turn to act which never happened on the browser and makes life so much easier when multitabling + forum reading

This happened to me a few days ago!!!

I clicked on "My Account" from the Download client, the Sky poker homepage popped up within a client window!

i use the browser 99% tbh.

main reason is that a few times when logging on to the download it has came back "error" "try again" which i do then it freezes and tilts me, so ive just stuck with browser.

Maybe slightly superstition too.  Never seem to do too well via browser. Think its the skypoker.exe demons.lol

but i might use d/l more if it pleases the big cheeses.

also i really dont like the pop upwindow with sports betting/ vegas etc that stays up for a couple of seconds. trivial i know, but if i want to go to these sites i wont open up a poker client.

   Used the browser until the d/l became available. Always d/l now as it is, for me, far more stable than the browser. Only downers are having to go through browser for forum and, as has already been alluded to, the problem with lobby access which really needs looking at.

Thanks for the replies guys, fascinating stuff.

The replies pretty much confirm what I expected - the DL has more zing, zest & zoom, but it still puzzles me that a lot of regulars stick with old faithful, the Browser jobbie.

Has anyone just not downloaded the DL at all, if not, why not?

did use download for a while (after repeated reminders from Sky!) on my (work) laptop.
Then had upgrades and some installations for work on it and lost the download.
Since then used browser as tried to reload the download but couldn't as my laptop still thinks it is there!. I've tried deleting this download and re-installing it but the laptop doesn't like it!

can't use download on work desktop

will try again if there is a new improved version on the way

only difference I felt was that the tables loaded quicker which is a significant difference imo

i have down loaded but i still use the browser. had problems posting hh with dl in the clinic. dont get any problems 8 tables etc run fine,if it aint broke ......
