In Response to Re: IPAD FREEROLL - let down by sky : Why? I didn't promise Boydid an ipad. I think the prizedraw response was an honest error, there are tons of ipad giveaways across Sky at the moment, plenty on SkyPoker as well. If I was you I would contact live chat now looking for a delivery date and if they can't give me a date then I'd want a reason why. I would also make sure that I copied and pasted the whole chat log into a word document to put in a follow up email if I felt it was necessary. If they pass responsibility (which may very well be the correct thing for them to do) I would be looking for contact name, contact telephone number, hours to call and contact email. Essentially I wouldn't get off live chat until I had the correct routes to progress. Personally I think it's an innocent oversight and that we shouldn't all get into a lather about it at this stage. I hope you get your ipad soon, they rock. And if you ever beat my Temple Run score I regret giving you advice Posted by TommyD
Guys there has clearly been some mix up here and you can rest 100% assured that this will be resolved asap, fairly and properly. The person giving the reply was just probably being careful so as not to promise something they had not been checked first.
There's no way we wouldn't give a prize to someone who is entitled to it.
We will look into this first thing in the morning and follow-up accordingly.
Four of the five winners have had their iPads dispatched (and are probably enjoying them now!). The final winner had been contacted several times via email, phone and PM but had not replied. The iPad has been sitting waiting for the winner to confirm delivery details.
As mentioned before, the customer adviser who spoke to the customer was just making sure they weren't promising something to someone who they weren't sure had won.
All those sceptics can rest assured that we weren't trying to do anything amiss, far from it. Anyway, a shiny new iPad will be winging it's way once the delivery details have been agreed.
