I can't believe nobody has cracked this one yet, it's now long long overdue. Right, I'm gonna have another go. C'mon people lets get this thing done. Posted by GaryQQQ
I've been getting back into DYMs recently, will give this another go
I'd like to take a stab at this one... right, 60p level 1 here we go... Posted by smileychop
Good luck.
You'll see plenty of 'unconventional' poker at the 60p level. This hand was played at my 60p table a few minutes ago. On the river player * bet 525 of his 615 stack, then folded to a re-raise. That left him 90 chips, just over half a big blind. Next hand he was auto all-in on the big blind and got knocked-out.

lol, nice table to be at Gary...
Congratulations on your challenge by the way, I've only just caught up on it today. your a total inspiration to amateur players like me, and not just on your good days as well... when you hit that down swing in September it showed everybody how frustrating poker can get sometimes. but you showed if you stick to your own game, strict bankroll and just have fun with it, you can achieve what your after... by the way, when you go to New York, try to take some time out to go to the top of the empire state building... taxi cabs are like ants! Amazing!
Anyways, back to the challenge... level 1 passed, thought it was never going to end... at level 8 we still had 6 players all above 1k chips. I managed to have 4k at that point though, so quite happy with my play.
Phew, level 2 £1.15 out of the way, just barely. min stacks catching cards all the way through this...ahem, including me at one point. (all in post flop, open ended straight draw against pocket aces, getting there on the river) phew again.

Thanks very much. The downswing seemed awful at the time, but looking back now I can see was trivial, nothing more than a temporary blip. Getting only one bad month out of ten is far better than I could have expected. I'll happily accept a ratio of nine good poker months for each bad month for eternity.
Also thanks for the NY tip, we're there for a week so I'll defo be doing that. It's still a year away though; early November 2014.
do you start at the 30p level or the 60p level as reading the posts some are starting at 30p and some ay 60p cheers and i will give it a try .And what if you have removed yourslf from sharkscope?

You start at 60p as I understand it, and according to the OP.
Sharkscope is used to verify claims. If you've blocked yourself I think you'll probably have to get unblocked, otherwise there's no other way of proving you actually did it. If you unblock it you can reset your stats, nobody will be able to see your previous history.
I can't get past level 3 at the moment, gonna keep trying. Good luck.

Not going till November?... that surely leaves enough time for some sort of cheeky holiday fund raiser challenge of some kind ;-)... then blow it all in Macy's, lol.
totally lucked out there, card dead and was making moves at the wrong times. got a nice little straight to keep me in the running. cracking!... just surviving in the end with 1k of chips.
Level 4 a lot nicer... apart from a rather loose aggro player I had position on, who was playing well at first, but slowed down after I outdrew him, then outaggro'd (not a word) him. lovely jubbly.
I'll leave it there for tonight but Level 5... I'll be back!
I crashed n' burnt in my first attempt at level 5. Had a great table, five very aggressive opponents were slugging it out while I sat back and watched. Unfortunately the shortest stack kept winning the big pots and the chips were being passed backwards and forwards. Eventually I joined the fray and busted myself by open shoving 77 into JJ.
Have climbed back up to another win at level 4 again. Had a tough level 4 table. When desperately short with five left I used my tight image to get away with the cheeky play below. If called I'd have looked a total idiot, probably quite rightly, but I desperately needed those 400 chips. It did the trick, I maintained shove equity and got myself across the line.
just edged level 5. I managed to get a bit too aggro against the big blind when I was small blind... he read me like a book and shoved all in on my same move on 2 separate occasions. left myself a bit low but managed to stay alive...
got a bit lucky on the last hand though, bad timing is certainly my thing but so is being lucky ;-)

what can I say, apart from phew. fell free to berate my move, coz I'm not sure if it was the right one. I think with my stack size and his, it was the only one I could make to take the pot.
