Sunday's live show with James & Ryan (***OFFICIAL THREAD***)

edited September 2012 in Poker Chat
Thursday 20 September 2012:

1267: "James. NFL tips. Talk to me."

James Hartigan: "...If you're looking for a tip for tonight, I take Carolina at home for the win."

Hmmm... I'm glad I didn't take that particular tip. Not one of your best, James.

The trilogy concludes on 861, with...

Episode III: Revenge of the Spittles

From 7pm, expect selected hands from the Master Cash tables, interspersed with some tournament coverage.

Obviously, Sunday's main event is the £10k Primo and we'll be dedicating a couple of hours to this game, including Analyse My Play at 8pm. Please get in touch, if you'd like to be the subject of this segment. We're looking for someone who's definitely entering the Primo, and is happy for us to critique their play during the early levels.

There'll also be the chance to win FREE entry to next Thursday's £12k Bounty Hunter, as we play...

    'Lost in Translation'

Imagine a world where all poker pros sound like Carlo! During the show, Ryan Spittles will perform impersonations (in the style of Mr Citrone) of three or four famous players, giving them a distinct (fake) Geordie accent. Will you be able to identify these prominent pros?

It's a strange sport! I'm not shocked the Giants won the game (most pundits / bookmakers only had Carolina as 52% favourite), but I'm amazed that it was a blow-out!!! The Panthers embarrassed themselves in primetime and proved they're not serious contenders for the NFC South title. Now, Tampa Bay on the other hand...

    Carlo's impersonations must surely include:

Doyle 'Bronze'un' and his lad 'Todd Aftersun'

This may have started a bit of a theme James....i'll stop now.....cheers

I'm sure i seen Tampa bay 5 to 1 to make the playoffs !  Surely your all over this ?

My lack of NFL knowledge has made me leave this alone,  but there seems to be some very nice games this weekened for a bet or 2 or .... 6.

    Couple of things...

A reminder that we need a volunteer to be the subject of Analyse My Play at 8pm. If you're interested, and you plan on playing the Primo, please drop us a line.

The other tournament we'll be covering this evening is the £5k Bounty Hunter (starting at 9pm). There'll also be plenty of Master Cash hands tonight, so grab a seat at the tables before 7pm!

    +++BREAKING NEWS+++

For one night only, the role of Carlo Citrone will be played by Ryan Spittles.

This means tonight's on-air competition will involve Ryan impersonating Carlo, impersonating famous poker pros. Potentially, post-modern, confusing, disastrous and (hopefully) hilarious!

Whoops! May have dispensed incorrect information and a premature compliment.

Carlo is OUT of the main event.

But he's made the second day of the £550 side event.

    That is all.

I came close to the jackpot on Monday night.  If I would of won the mini as well as winning the main I would of taken it down!  Mind you as I got into the main for nothing due to coming third in a side event from the SPT final!  Just under £1900 for nothing.  Not a bad nights work!

Ok the above is a blatent brag but as a Liverpool fan I don't have too much to brag about!

on the hand my 10s v matt8 ak

if i didnt c bet on the flop i wouldnt have seen the river for nothing if i check flop he would raise me on turn forcing me to fold. i would put this down to creating my own luck do you not agree?
i cbet because he only called me pre and didnt raise me so he could easy be sitting with kq kj qj so i c bet as many times i think he could put me on ace and fold i dont know if that bad logic but how i played the hand what you think?

i think the cbet on flop is reason i won the hand

    thanks john
