...and here's the link to the tournament lobby.)
Good evening Sarah and Redmond.
My most significant poker win isn't my biggest cash. It was my first ever live tournament. I got heads-up with a very nice chip lead and when my opponent got himself back to 3:2, he offered me a very fair deal. I declined solely because it was my first ever tournament and if I won, I could brag about it for the rest of my days.
So, here's my brag: I won my first ever live tournament; a 44 runner, £25 headhunter (as it was called) for a combined prize of £365.
Away from poker I really am a good-for-nothing loser and have absolutely nothing to brag about. lol
Enjoy the show.
but i,ve kept it on Sky + and its a great motivator to watch again before i play some sessions
also knocked out Orford out along the way which made all the sweeter
Paul

hello Sarah and red, my biggest poker win was on here a few weeks ago, it was the week end of spt nottm, I thought there may be a wee bit of value in the Sunday night primo, lucky enough I sated in for £12 and manage to get runner up for £1700. being a low stakes player this was like wining the lotto, withdraw a few bob bills etc, but left a bit in to help my br. since winning that iv been on a bad run, has red found this when he wins a few pound ?. have fun.
One of my greatest victories has to be me versus a cherry stone. I work In a primary school and had to tackle a choking Incident which happily I won! The six year old boy was fine afterwards and I felt like a million dollars!
Have a great show both.
p.s Redmond , i love your laugh.
My6 biggest win was when I won free entry into a Riley's poker tournament at Star City Birmingham via a league system at the local club. I went on to win the 180 man tournament for £5k, for my biggest ever win, in front of a crowd of abt 30 ppl. Was very nice and at one stage i was down to less than 1 big blind.

As long as your hand is from a TV table we will do our best to show it!
My biggest win occured in Vegas but at the same time my most expensive. I won my wifes hand in marriage but with two words'I do' effectively gave came out worth half what I was worth before I went in.(would've been cheaper to have gone to the casino) 9 years later it hasn't got any cheaper (house,mortgage,2 kids) but it's been worth every penny. In poker terms,'I do' is a -EV call, money wise!!!lol
It was pretty similar format to Going for Gold
I had to win a daily heat followed by a weekly final
I have to say I found it hard to keep a straight face when they interviewed my main opponent who's specialist hobby was collecting airline sick bags.
I don't know how I did it but I won the final in a record number of questions. I'm pretty sure that the three viewers (Channel 5's average viewing figures at the time) stayed awake for at least two minutes of this compelling show.
I'm not saying my appearance had anything to do with it but 5's company ended shortly afterwards
Hi sarah
My biggest win was a real funny one. It was on one of the bigger sites about a year ago and at that time I never had played much PLO. I logged on and started buying into some of the tournaments, there weren't many running and i saw PLO tournament with a big guarantee and I had to take a stab. After playing for 3hrs I had been knocked out of the other games but surprising I was still in this PLO tournament. So I googled "how to play pot limit omaha" and carried on playing while reading lots tutorials and watching a few PLO videos, 8-10hrs later I finished 4th for 29k usd(after a deal). Haven’t stopped playing PLO ever since.
Hi Sarah & Redmond,
The only thing I have ever won is the free £10 from sky so still won nowt but my dentist hit the gold streak as I had 3 wisdom teeth out on Monday was sure she shouted ding ding ding jackpot book my seat to the Bahamas as it has cost me an arm and 2 legs lol great show as always learn a lot from Redmond’s advise.
i love u too Sarah

surprisingly i was behind...
Ctbn who is also in this won!
My biggest win is probably one of my most embarrasing moments to, me and my family had gone to a "fun day" event local to us when i was around 12-14years old, at this fun day they had a gladiator style event with the raised platforms and u try to knock people off. me and my sister decided to give it ago and i beat her 10-1, it was embarrasing because the local newspapers were there that day and ofcourse managed to take a picture as my sister scored her 1 and only point, she still has the newspaper and rubs it in my face all the time. but ultimately i was the victor!!
My biggest win was on a TV show called The Chair. Great experience but it was tinged with real good fortune for me. It was filmed at Pinewood studios where they were filming Die Another Day.
The show involved answering questions whilst attached to a heart monitor while sat in a giant chair - a bit like Millionnaire but if your heart goes above a certain rate, your money disappears until your heart rate comes down. The heart rate rises when you know an answer but again you cannot answer until it drops again. The show was hosted by John McEnroe who insulted the contestants.
I was scheduled to be the third contestant filmed that day but when it was my turn the pads to attach me to the heart monitor kept falling off so another contestant took my place. While I was being re-attached I saw their questions and would have lost on the third question. When I got up there, I got every question correct and my heart rate stayed below the limit & I picked up a cool £50k, the jackpot.
I have to say that luck played a massive part in that win.
As far as poker is concerned my biggest win was in the English Open Deepstack in Birmingham last year. I won a seat into the tournament via the local poker club in Shrewsbury where the six monthly winner won a seat into this £500 buy in event. I had never played any event of this size before but with a 50k stack and one hour clock I had several hours to get my bearings as I just folded. I saw Julian Thew come & go before I played a hand. By the end of the day I had 70k chips against an average of 100k. I got moved to the televised table halfway through day two which had Paul Jackson on it. Suddenly players were shoving against me when I had the nuts and before I knew it was leading with 3.2million chips.
I made the final table and ended up finishing 4th when I shoved A8 into AA but the £10k prize was a great consolation.
