    Welcome to area 51's best diary.  OK, it's the only diary here so that makes it the best by default!  

    We all know 2p/4p cash is beatable but all the players that have done a diary have both been good and tight and I'm neither!  There is no cash target and I won't be playing it every day.  

    OK, so I hear you say why a diary in Area 51?  Why yet another diary about cash?  Why do you have that stupid beard?  Why do you make horses jealous when the see you in the shower?  The answer to these and many other questions will be revealed in due course but I will answer the first two now.

    Area 51 is the home of mystery, wonder and people moaning about bad beats.  Where else can you find mystery and wonder and get more beats then in 2p/4p cash?  Why a diary?  Because I can't post a spreadsheet in here!

    As with all diaries I will be posting profit/loss from all 2/4 cash I play with a selection of.....fun hands that show how good/bad I ran.  Names will be changed to protect the insane.

    Just to keep things interesting for me, if I show a profit by Christmas day then I will tell the true and full story behind the beard.

    I am not sure I can wait that long for the beard story . Do the horses look through a window or are they secretly hiding in the loft  spying on you through a hole in the ceiling.

    The results are in from the first session...

    (Dramatic drum roll followed by Xfactor like pause)

    I played both tables for 2 hours and didn't reload.  I ended up 30p up on Watchet and £2.97 up on Pall Mall.  Happy days!

    If I could get posting the hand history to post properly I would post a couple of hands up but I can't and I'm hungry so I can't be bothered lol

    I will probably play a bit later tonight to see how I can run then

    Played another few tables after a bottle or so or wine ;)  Never a great idea playing like that but wtf!

    Pall Mall 90p profit
    Duniplace an amazing 2p profit!!!  (not sure what I will spend that on yet, probably a pennt sweet for both of my girls)
    Merton £4.74 profit
    but
    Well Medow £8 loss :(

    So overall a 93p profit on the day!  

    Any profit is a good profit so will take that on my first day.  Things can only get better, where have I heard that before???

    Only played for about 45 mins today.  Made a loss of £1.11 on Dunster and a profit of £2.06 on Adlington.  Would of played for a bit longer but my girls needed picking up.  Total profit on the day of 95p making a total profit of £1.88.  Almost enough for a half!

    Which browser are you using?? Got google chrome at work and it doesn`t post properly,

    Normally use chrome now a days, will try it in IE see if that works.  Many thanks.

    Not sure if I will be playing tonight or not yet.  Depends on how deep I go in the DTD.  Probably out of all 3 by 8.31 but you never know!

    Crashed out of the DTD early, bit of bad luck coupled with some bad play is not a good combination!

    I played 4 tables. 6max on Crawley and Feinton and 10 handed on Luton and Martlock.  £4 loss on Crawley and a £2.58 profit on Feinton, £4 loss on Martlock and a £4.39 profit on Luton.  This hand didn't help on Martlock.

    Didn't play yesterday, just fancied a day off, that and I was watching Raw on sky+ and wanted some sleep!  I played 4 tables today, all at once too!  Nuneaton, £4 loss, got down early and couldn't pick up.  Jamestown, £4.66 profit, played steady and picked up one big pot.  Pall Mall, £10.15 profit, got down early then stepped up the aggression and hit a few big hands.  Finally Merton, £11.68 profit.  Got up early and just kept going.  Got paid for most of my big hands which always helps!

    Overall a £22.49 profit on the night.  Only one word for that.......

    HEATER!

    Overall a £23.34 profit so far.  Much better then I could hope for.

    Don't you hate it when this happens??

    Thanks Paul.  Not a great night tonight to say the least!  Sometimes you crush, sometimes you get crushed!  Oh well here is the bad news (well bad new for my bank roll lol)  Call Lane £4 loss.  Briggate £4 loss.  Kingsgate 77p loss and Croyden £1.07 profit.

    A few coolers and a few hands I murdered makes not a great nights poker.  Could of been a bit different but the last hand on Briggate was a bit of a cooler to say the least and would of turned a £4 loss into a £6+ profit.  Oh well, that's poker!  I'm starting to enjoy this cash game.  I still don't think I'm any good at it but at least I'm having a good time and that is the main thing.

      Why the knocking of the people who play 2/4 nl ? These are people like the rest of us.Maybe these people just play for fun and are like me have no ambition to make the W.S.O.P .When we started at primary school did we get called called names because we had just started out to learn? I am all for a laugh and joke ,but these people should be given the same respect as the medium and high stake players.I stopped awhile ago asking for advice on how to improve my game because of the negative replies .I know it will not stop.but try to show some respect to your fellow players.I am fed up with things like "bash them fish", "donks",etc . Old saying "you can not have all half crowns,you have to have 2 shillings and sixpences as well",   gl all.

    Forgot to post my running total last night.  Still showing a profit of £15.64.  Don't want another night like last night!

    Two tables today so far.  Crawley £4 loss and Banham £6.13 profit so £2.13 profit on the day and £23.65 total so far.  Very very up and down session saying the least!  I was down about £1.50 on both tables after about 2 minutes.  Managed to grind it up to show a profit on both tables.  Checking back on my hand history the biggest two pots I lost were with 34!  The turn card did me on both hands.  Turned trip 4's on one when oppo turned a flush and turned a flush on the other with straight flush extenders, pity my oppo turned the nut flush.  Will get them next time!  Not playing tomorrow as I will be drinking hard and watching Suvivor Series.  I'm expecting Ziggles to cash in MITB tonight and want to party when he does!
