New PC

Just want to run this by someone who knows about these things.

Purely to be used for poker, will only be 8 tabling.  I already have monitor/mouse/keyboard.

Also if something cheaper will suffice on the site, please speak now or forever hold your peace.

there were 2 or 3 threads about computer setup for multi tabling sky in the last month. I will have a quick look for the links.

Just seen it's installed with Windows 8. Windows 8 is vastly different to any other version of windows. People either love it or hate it.

If you've never used it before it maybe a gamble as to which camp you will fall into.

Is that the max budget you've got?

It will do for playing poker but the spec isn't great and i'm not a massive fan of Acer.

For that low price it's about as good as you're going to get though.

Thanks chaps...£300 max really acidman. It will be purely for poker and only 8 tabling. As long as it can cope with that I'm happy.

No, it's only got 2Gb of RAM which most of that will be used up with just running Windows7.

Think I've installed everything correct, just finished installing Microsoft Security Essentials. We'll see if it can handle 8-tabling this evening. Fingers crossed.
