why where u not in your tournement i won caption contest to play u in it and u werent there very disapointed a bit of false advertisment me thinks and then get 2 heads up had double the other persons chips then near enough every hand goes 8/10 for opponent would nt mind if i was getting beaten by aces kings queens buut he was always hitting low pairs i.e 2s 4s 6s just doesnt seem right at all ...disappointed player ;,(

Good morning Sir.

I was not Online on Friday evening, & I apologise for missing the Tourney. There are - or were (see below) three TOTTY's each week, & I play when I can, but I cannot commit to them all. Last week I just played the Monday renewal, as at present, though I am on the Site playing most nights of the week, I am mostly multi-tabling cash games.

"false advertisement"? Well the TOTTY Lobby states......

"“This is your chance to take part in Sky Poker Analyst Tony Tikay Kendall’s own personal tournament”.

So it's a moot point whether I am obliged to play it, but it would be wholly fair to say that, by most definitions, yes, I should be in it. To suggest otherwise would be disingenuous.

So, I apologise for my non-appearance.

I have also, this morning, written to Head Office again about this matter, & suggested it is time to drop the "Take on tikay" Tourney Titles, & replace them with generic Tournament Titles.

I hope that is to your satisfaction.

When you say "just doesnt seem right at all", it's perfectly normal - it's standard poker, & anything is possible.

Yes, every legit question on this thread gets a reply, except those which ought to be directed to Customer Care, & nonsense "Area 51" type Posts. However, I do need some time to keep up with all the questions, e-Mails, & PM's. Last week alone, & on Sky Poker alone, I received over 200 e-Mails & PM's from players, so I can never guarantee an answer within 24 hours, sorry.

Hi Tikay im new to sky poker and haven't got a huge bankroll at 35 pound I play cash games 2p/4p, and on those blinds almost everyone limps. So when im on the button with a mediocre hand do i put in a raise or fold because i call most of the time and then the rest of the players may hit on flop and i fold with possibly the best hand please can you give me any advice ty

On last night`s roller show, you were talking about Vegas and, if I heard you correctly, you said that a lady at the table, holding the absolute nuts, had been warned for checking her hand. Did you actually say that, and if so, could you tell me what the reasoning behind the warning was?

Unless my mind has failed me completely, no, I never said that on last night's LIVE Show, but during the breaks, I "featured" (lol!) in several filmed interviews from Vegas this Summer, & I may well have mentioned it in one of those, I just don't recall, I did over 100 of them, so it's hard to recall them all.

However, what I said, or what you THINK I may have said, is totally accurate.

If, in Live Poker, you are LAST TO ACT, & have the actual NUTS, a "check" will result in a warning, time-penalty, disqualification, or immediate shottage.

There is NO POSSIBLE reason, when last to act, to check the abso nuts UNLESS you are colluding with another player on the same table.

That rule, in Live Poker, is pretty much universal, in every Country in which I have ever played, though it is a tough one to impose, if you think about it, & I've almost never seen it enforced.

Many years ago it happened regularly in Gala Notts, where collusion was rife, but the line of reporting goes via the Dealer, & it was self-deal there at the time, & the hand frequently involved the "dealer". Strange that, eh?

Hi Tikay, I recently playing next to you on an Omaha table. You said (to my surprise) that it was your favourite form of poker and had played it for years. I myself am terrible at cash tables in general (omaha especially), so I typcially stick to Sit and Gos.

Was just wondering some of the varience you've encountered playing PLO over the years. 10-50 buy in downswings etc? Also any ridiculous pots/beats you'd witnessed.

Sky poker is a complete and utter fix... lost over £100 in two days with all my hands been a straight or better, and the other player hitting on the river EVERYTIME..... Absolute disgrace

ive come from live to internet with good results im getting to heads up in mtts alot but struggling with the speed aspect even though im a very good heads up player any tips on how to adjust? not sure if im just getting unlucky but any pair or big a or k from the button ive been shoving(10-15bbs)but finished 2 a couple times only started on sky a week or so ago but have won much larger mtts on 888 and didnt have this trouble.cant complain as im still winning but always trying to improve thanks mate.

Tikay, just wanted to now if i played this hand correctly. Blinds were 40/80, I had $2500 in middle position with AK os, a guy raised $180 in late position (He had $3200), i 3 bet him $540, he called, the flop came ah 9h 3h, i raised half the pot he went all-in, i called, he had as 9s and won with 2 pair. I didn't think he had 2 hearts but was the all-in call correct?

Hi Tikay!

Ill start with saying that every time i have been watching Sky poker on TV the guys give you abit of stick regarding your dress code! Well my Nanna love the jumpers ect. Is that a good thing because shes 78?

Any way, Im kind of new here and im loving the BH tournaments and i play alot of them. The thing is most of them are not huge purses so i loose interest after playing them for 1/2hours for a £50/£60 win. Im sure you see my point. I know that if i go in the bigger stakes then the prizes are beter of course but im not sure if im playing the right for me. I rate myself as a player but ive not been playing online long. Its totaly different that sitting down at a table and playin poker. I play the casino tournaments when i can. Ive made 3 this year winning 2 and came 3rd the other time. What do you think would be best to play here for some one like me who is more used to playing around a table thn online? Should i stick to the cash tables or carry on in the tournaments? know you cant play my game but any advice would be taken on board.

Hi Bonapar

It look like you are making the mistake a lot of new Omaha players make, this is by no way a slur on you, you need to use 2 cards from your hand, and any 3 of the community cards to make the best hand, I would also suggest you dont call with say 4 Diamonds in you hand, or 3 6,s it cuts down the chances of hitting

Why is it whenever I find myself with a decent hand and I raise 3 times the bb, everyone around the table calls with junk or even raises an all in to which I call. We flip, I've got AsKs, AsQs etc and 2 other guys have flipped 8d,4d and jh,2c.
On more than enough occassions for my liking these 'players' have hit the flush, house, trips etc and knocked me out with, in reality, terrible hands.
TBH I'm getting tired of these BINGO players that shouldnt even be involved in a pot this big pre flop.
