Tikay gets his own thread hijacked #sigh
oynutter - gutted for you - but sounds like you´ve got your head screwed on - gl with everything
TK - I can only imagine you are an awesome manager - and are more irreplaceable as a manager than a player (with all due respects to your play) - so even if I don´t agree with the reason not to play - magnaminous as it was - I still would vote for TK to manage not to play.

    Kilkenny's ftw

also, ye, you can usually just turn up and play the side events as long as you've regged at the casino.. but then again this is in ireland and as they dont even let you drink in the poker room, anything is possible so ring ahead!!

Thanks for asking about me Tikay--- To be honest, a lot has changed since my heart operation---- Things I can't do anymore frustrate me most ---- Feeling cold is the probably the worst----- I spent 1500 quid on heating one room last winter--- and I still have no job------ low energy because of beta blockers is another thing---- I also think I am suffering from a thing called pump head--- Its said to be caused by complications of being a long time on a heart/lung machine, my brain was very foggy for a long time---- like yourself, my tolerance went right downhill---- I seem to be still recovering from it ----- getting used to being skint is hard ------ I have been quite depressed too,  I am very glad to be still alive though, and all my problems seem quite insignificant when compared to not being here at all--- So that fact does keep my spirits up.  Thanks again for asking. it was good to think about it, and write it down---- I think I still have some recovering to do, but I am getting more optimistic about the future.  Life is only as good as you can persuade yourself it is innit--lol---- Thanks Tikay

HIYA Ctbn, Thanks a million for the gesture!--- and I would really love to go to Dublin--- but I'm not really too bothered if I can't play the main event--- would just be great to go there and meet you all ------Maybe get in a side event----Part of me thinks I should'nt have said all that much to Tikay, but it does kind of do my head in sometimes, telling everyone I'm doing fine---- and in a way, I am--- but if there is anyone I would'nt like to lie to, it's Tikay. And anyway, he would know I was just fobbing him off if I said I was doing great--- A 50 year old that gets his or her chest opened 10 inches wide is very rarely feeling great---lol--- I can do a lot of things, and it is absolutely amazing what I can do after that stuff, but it still frustrates me with what I can't do--- like I was a proper good darts player--- 5 nine dart finishes--- two on stage--now I'm rubbish, and can't figure out why-- but I am improving-- I have to practice a lot in winter because its too cold to go out, and I could get a blood clot from sitting too long---- Never really had to deal with chronic frustration before--- except for when my connection goes mental--lol--- Anyway--have to go to bed now---- I really will do my best next week, and see if I can make it to Dublin--- I got my pc up and running today--- Took out the cmos battery and charged it up with a 9 volt battery--well pleased--- could'nt figure what was wrong before-- missed most of two tournies sorting out pc, but won the 1 0'clock 200 gtd--- so don't count me out yet innit---- thanks Ctbn--- It really cheers my soul ( if I got one ) being part of the community here, and I regret not participating so much of late ---- A comeback in imminent--- cheers mate!

    Good evening.

I have had several PM's from Community Members about Mr OyNutter.

The first came from a chap who shall remain nameless, but he always looks like he has just sucked a lemon. In fact he sounds like he has, too, because I've never understood a word he says. His face is weathered.

    Anyway......

He thought it might be a good idea to see if we could get OyNutter to Dublin, either to play the Dublin SPT, or at least come along, meet a few of the regulars, & rail the Event. To this end, he offered to donate £20. The man in question will NOT be in Dublin, but his credit is good, if not his looks - rugged - so I'll pay the £20 on his behalf, & we can settle up at another SPT.

I am happy to chip in a bit, too.

If any others want to contribute, even £5 or £10, that would be something really special.

Maybe one of the Community regulars who will be attending could help with organising this, receiving & collecting pledges, too.

Whether he plays the Event or not is another matter, but at the very least, it would be rather nice to get OyNutter up to Dublin, right? I reckon we could give him a right special weekend.

    Thoughts please?

    Agreed.

Whoever is organising the collection...stick me down for a tenner please.

    Great stuff Alan, thank you.

Hopefully a few more kindly folks will respond soon, so that our flopping hero can make the arrangements to get up to Dublin.
