With AK I think you should be continuing the betting on the turn, 3/4 pot size bet. The 4h shouldn't really change anything and you have to think you are ahead.
On the river ul that's the worst card you could have hit. Have to think you will only be called by Ax that hasn't made a FH though as the flush and trips are so visible so could maybe have gone for a smaller value bet then rethought if shoved on.
QQ hand not sure I would have done anything different - looks like a cooler to me. Villain could be betting out plenty of hands you are beating and the draw which was the case.
You were definitely right to not just call flop bet and with u/d str8 and nut flush draw the money is always going in at that point.

withdrew 13.31, so back to my original 30 quid since march and ill have to double check my profits, played a bit in the day today as its good to play the better egulars to improve and sharpen up. Got outplayed and donked on one table some money with top pair with a weak kicker, straight was out and queen was my kicker. At the same time won with kings v tens to limit the damage. Hopefully ill play better for the rest of the week.
instead of withdrawing all your profits, why not build up a bankroll and consider moving up a level? you could do something like, keep half of profits and use the other half to build your BR each month - you'd be withdrawing less to start with, but in the long run you migh make a whole lot more...
Going well meadows, that's a nice profit you have taken out since March. How do you think your game is going? Posted by LARSON7
I think its definitely improved, but more so mentally. I Analyse why I lost hands maths wise rather than moaning how unlucky I was.
But although I have improved ALOT since March, Sky poker standard has improved don't you agree? So in inflationary adjusted terms interms of standard I think I have only slightly improved. but in ring games with my friends im doing very well so its def helped playing here.

I don't have the time, I think you have to put in the volume for me to become a genuinely good player.
Perhaps you can help me with these two losses as despite my profits im on 25.50 after having aces cracked twice yesterday. My question is shouldi shoved on the queen 3 suited flop?
Hit me back with feedback with these two disasters.
lol it's not a shove or a fold! Play some poker, put in your normal continuation bet, if you are raised, given vilians stack snap. If he's deeper re assess. You have aces, see 3 clubs, panic and shove. Posted by LARSON7
i dunno, its 50p preflop, i dont think you can purely pay for him flopping a flush, if you play like that then its very negative. More than likly for me i was hoping he had one club and im forcing it shove on a 3-1 bet, if he doesnt he folds and i earn and nice 50p preflop victory.
But i take your point, and perhaps it was more a case of ive got married to my aces a bit.
well I am am finally out of my originally 30 quid buy in, its lasted me almost a year and I made 204 quid from it.
I went on a bad run with thessuch hands shown below, but to be honest I played some poor hands. Iv elearnt a lot over the last month. Especially adding to my criteria to be a better player. The flop which has 3 same suited cards has been my arch nemesis, buting my kings, queens and even working against me. But ill reload in Feb and start a new quest, and hopefully an new and improved player.
Took a month off zfter my 204 pound haul. Read some article and won 3 live games in a row round mates house, so the advce you guys have given me def helped.
I read a article you should put in 25 times the buy in so 100 quid it was. I feel a lot more content with my game than ever.
What im working on is "leeks". So im going to work on pot control and evaluating hands on position a lot more.
Played today, up 2.16 to 102.16. This time ill let the bank roll flow with no with draws.
My aim is to see how long I can last this 100 quid, im hoping a full year, but we will see, it will prob be over in s month.
Good luck mate building up again. I'm sure you will do it. why not give yourself a target, say 25 buy-ins for nl10 which is £250. then give that a try playing 1 table to start off with. I am doing a similar thing playing nl4 when I get to £200 I'm moving up to nl10.
just an idea for you to think about. yes nl10 is a step up, for sure, but like all levels, it's beatable. figuring it out is the tricky bit, but is also 1/2 the fun. if it was easy we would be playing there now, wouldn't we. he he.

cheers mate, don't think im good enough for the 5p 10 p yet although I do dabble on there I have had some success.
Doing ok, up to 103.96. Less leaks, but still need some plumbing in my game, but over all happy return thus far.
While your here can you talk me though how to play aces or kings on a flopped flush draw board, as I lose every single one of them.
I agree with other few posts dont keep withdrawing as when you hit a downswing which you will you will eventually have to re deposit if you dont have much room to play with.
Maybe just play for a month and dont withdraw anything and see where you are come the end , dont assume your not good enough for nl10 one day just have ago and see what happens.
That hand with "aces" dont check the flop because if he bets your jsut gunna keep calling down and not no where you stand, then defo dont bet 1/6th of the pot on the turn better off just checking as it seems so weak,
With aces tho at them levels just play ur hands very strong and try not to bluff because most the time ppl wont fold at them levels,

cheers mate I agree. I think because ive had such a bad streak with flopped flushes ive been more paranoid than played logical maths.
104.75 now so on a non descript run. How would you have played this guys, should I have checked when the second ten came out?
Up to 105.10. Again lost with kings to king ten. But played quite well and kept my cool. Im not putting my hands up that are bad beats, instead hands that are marginal. Should I have folded?
Should you have folded? I think it looks distinctly worrying that the middle has three suited cards OTF, but the fact the guy/gal has simply "Clicked-Back" at you - I dunno...without knowing table dynamics etc then it IS a tricky one to say...
IF however, he'd chucked more chips in that what he/she did, then I'd be thinking that he very well might have a flush.. .but then again?! that's the beauty of poker, because they could always be bluffing!
This is where notes nd so forth come in Handy - however a tricky thing is that at Micro levels, it's a bit harder because I don't think I'm playing with similar players much...

Had aces cracked by 5 3 off when a guy rivered the 5 to hit his trips.
But hit a set of queens, then rivered a ful house to crack a guys nut straight.
So it all evened out thus far.
On the hands posted above.

I was happy how I played this hand
pocket 9's on dealer chip, but the rest played itself, im surprised no one re raised me?
total profit 204 quid since march.
How do you think your game is going?

I made a net profit in 2013 of 144 pounds, and in total.
So far ive with drawn 21.40. BTW I feel a lot more comfortable with the flop flushed draws now.
Cheers for your help guys.
