EDIT: £40 is a small BR and could be added to but have decided if can,t win from that at the stakes i,m playing now then i will take a few days off to re-avaulate
Done ok over last few weeks but am not playing as much as i,d like - I,ve got 409 pts so far this month and used to get over 1k every month. I know i can make 1500-2k pts at least if i put the work in and thats the idea for October -
Money wise i,d just like to be in profit but want to get better and the only way is to put the time in so i,m just going to make sure i get over 500 this month 1st
Sounds easy and is to alot of ppl but as its mainly to get me playing and keeping an eye on results more
I thought i,d post it in the Shed as there are enough in GPC and not to fussed how many ppl read it. I suppose its for my own benefit which might sound a bit selfish but something i need to do to improve my game i feel although any comments welcome off course
I,ll update evry cpl of days on progress and types of games which will be a mix of everything low stakes for now and see how it goes

Played a DYM before 6pm then decided to play cash during the happy hour
Played 2 x 4NL and 1 x 5p action. It was going ok although wasn,t playing my A game as i often get distracted by T -Time TV which i like to watch, but played quite conservatively
Managed to get over an hour in w/o any big pots - the biggest been the last one posted below so decided to take a brk before another longer session tonight although i,ve just missed the DTD which i will be playing in the coming weeks

EDIT _ Just realised i,m in the 1k FR for playing the main and mini last Thursday ( Don,t normally spend £33 on 1 game but it was a free token for some money i lost out on and had to play the mini as well because of the JP
I only start with 1000 chips and got Sharksbite on my table among others with 5k in starting chips,should be a good challenge

Will be playing on and off tonight as i,ve got a few things to do but looking backover last 3 days its been a bit up and down so going to stick to my comfort zone and concentrate on NL4
EDIT : Only played for about an hour today 3 x 4NL. I won just over 2 buy ins but don,t feel in the right frame of mood for playing tonight so calling it a day for now while i,m still up
I did play earlier on another site on a 5c/10c table and was pretty suprised how bad the standard was - I,d say it was equal or worse than NL4 on here so might consider that again in the future

Watchin Ryder cup so not playing today apart from 3 freerolls between 7pm and 7.30pm
EDIT - Went out of all 3 freerolls within 25 minutes so nipped round the corner to my local snooker club to play the Nutz leaugue. It was the last week and is starting up again nxt week for another 13 weeks so might give that a go. Got to go nxt week now anyway for a bit of extra value. Bubbled the cash in 4th from 18 but get into nxt weeks game for half price - ( Great structure to ) 10k starting chips - 20 minute blinds

I,ve reached my 500pt target although i feel i can still put a lot more hours in than i have been, so after eading Tintins post in GPC , I,ve decided i,ll try and go for the October cash promotion (lower limit one) or at least to get acces to the Freeroll which will take 1000pts in the next month which will be my new target and carry on with the same roll

Was hoping to get some hours in earlier but something came up. Will play for a cpl of hours tonight and maybe try and get to 100pts
EDIT : played for just over an hour including the happy hour. Played an MTT as well where i came 3rd although after flopping a str8 went out when someone hit runner runner for higher str8. Felt like i shudda won it but at least keeps my MTT record on an upward curve
Also aiming for over 1k pts this month (Haven,t done that for about 6 months) for the King of the Cash promo to get into the FR. Can,t see me playing enough to challenge for the top 20 as it goes up NL20 and some of the regs are putting hours in and playing more tables. Although the 1k pts is a target - the ultimate target is to keep my BR going in the right direction

Lost more than i though last night after going on biggest tilt in abouyt a year - from NL8 to NL2 against one of bets top regs - £98 gone in mimutes
However - after feeling like a brk i was winning at the stakes i was playing so no reason to really stop for to long
I had satelited in to the 2K Bh last night which could have turned things right round but after hitting aces and thenm kings in 2 hands went out to a min cash and a cpll of heads.
With this i,ve 4 tabled 5p action and Nl10 which is out of my BR but didn,t really know how much it had fallen - Got away with it - with a bit of a comeback - just what i needed - Long way to go though

DAY 14 : Despite not really winning anything the whole idea of this diary was to put some time in and get back on it putting in decent sessions so was chuffed to day to get a good 90 minute session
3 x NL4 and 1 x 5p action (during happy hour)
Session 2 : Played 4 x 5p action although with Scotty 777 and some good players held my own for a cpl of hours PTS 486
Session 3 - 2 x NL8 and 2 x 5p action for happy hour - Thats my 80p gone anyway but this the earliest i,ve ever reached 500PTS so well on course for over 1k
2nd to last hand of the night last night in a 30 min Timed Tourney says it all for this seesion , but only about £10 down - all cash

Played my 2nd satelite on here for £2.20 and got st in 2k BH tonight again - managed a cash and a cpl of heads last time so a good result here would keep my MTT record goin
Giving up on the King of the Cash top 20 but still going for oveer 1k pts forthe FR as i,m playing NL4 again as a ll the regs seemed to gave been moving up to gain more pts

Nxt session lasted abit longer than i thougt. After been down about a tenner i ran deep in the £250GTD and had a half an hour battle HU where the chip lead changed hands numerous times but after missing 2 flushes to win game and finally got aces which got busted in big pot by a flush. Still happy with a 2nd (61 players) but it wudda been nice to win it

Day 17 - Day Off ( Well kind off)
Was going to play earlier but after a last minute decision ended up playing at local snooker club in the 2nd week of the Nutz Leaugue where i came joint 1st from 14 players for £60 and got the pts for the win after a turnover.
Unfornately this was the Thursday league as the last time i went a cpl of weeks back i came 4th from about 20+ which i would have picked up some more points for, but the Friday leaugue is a seperate one although you can qualify from both.The points system seems quite complicated for this leaugue.
Tonight i got 30% of 2800pts - 14 players x2k pts - winner 30% - 2nd 20% etc for FT and 80 pts just for turning up so got the best part of 900 pts
Haven,t played in any of these reginal finals yet but with that many pubs in Preston now running these leagues its something to aim for as well as our local pubs own final every 3 months

Day 18 - Another day off
Been out all day but just managed to catch the last game at my local- 14 players - £5 in - 3rd for £10. Was quite interesting tho as the guy to my right who i,d not seen in there before and came 2nd turned out to be one of the high stakes regs on here so hopefully see him a bit more and try to pick his brains a bit as he,s certainly a lot better than me, by looking at his stats

Played the £3 rebuy incl. a rebuy and add on and bubbled the cash in 5th place. After reading whacko,s thread - saying he was going to be playing low stakes MTT,s i thought i might bump into him at some point and sure did when i ran my a 10 s into his kk on the BB to crip ple my stack . also played the micro sat for UKOPS and played well and got into semi but spewed off most off my chips in first level - down to 140 - manged to get back to 1k but still alot of work to do

On Day 22 - Didn,t play much but when i did play i din,t feel i was playing my A game. Tried 5 tabling but just felt i was clicking buttons on auto pilot , taking the fun out of it and not been able to get enough reads or really think out situations properly, so i won,t be be going past 4 again until i can get used to it.
This resulted in another losing day and won,t be able to play much in the next few days as i,m playing live tonight in local pub and live again tommorow in local snooker club for the Nuts leaugue

(Must admit i am really enjoying playing live at the moment. Feel like i,m learning more and of course you get to meet a lot of new of new friends with whom you can discuss poker with. This always comes up as "one of the top tips" - to have friends you can discuss hands with etc and think its a gr8 tip for anyone wanting to improve their game)
Ended up playing in Nuts league at Hendrys Thursday night league - Only 12 players but a 2nd was a decent result after my 1st there last week putting me in overall lead in week 3 ( missed week 1). Just need to turn up now for the other 10 weeks and also aim for top 3 as it gives you 2 choices at regionals i think
Preston is buzzing with live games at the moment with more every week - own leagues, nuts and the other one i cant remember the name off - see a lot of the same faces about and also in the Casinos in Bpool - Preston could do with a casino tho - unfornately can,t see it

Thoroughly enjoyed it ( stayed an extra night so i could watch my neices and nephew do their taikwondo classes )and no poker for a week - didn,t even miss it, but now i,m back i,m ready to go again more than ever . I played live in nuts league again tonight but got outplayed, but i,ll be back online tommorow.
In anser to your question -I suppose it could be th reason your taking time off. Is it because you,ve been tilting , or losing interest or goin on holiday/break?

Havent played yet today and pLaying in pub leaugue again tonight but might have a session later depending on what time i get in . (and how much i,ve had to drink )

EDIT : Had a quick session during the happy hour 4 tabling ( 2 x 5p action and 2 x 8NL ).
V quiet ( no hands where i lost more than £1 and 1 hand where i won more than £1 - below)apart from 1 main hand : Had a feeling one of the opponents had a higher set as they were quite tight but very rarely lay sets down. If it gets beat by a higher set then thats just tough
