Removed the "W/O Mercedes: Valtteri Bottas @ 25/1 - £1" bet - it was not placed because I'm having verification problems with my Boyle Sports account. Very annoying because it was actually a winner too, would have put me in profit :-(

Nice going Peter . That £50 bet on constructers can,t be far off paying out

I was just wondering why you place your bets at so many different bookies. Is it because your getting slightly better prices or do some sites have more markets than others or is it just because you,ve got some money in some accounts and not in others?

    Paul

Ps - missed it this weekend but will keep an eye out on here for tips in future races. I,ve done well on F1 this year (3 out of 3 bets up) but thats been down to luck mainly as i,m not that clued up on it

Yep, the pre-season bets are going to really increase my profit at the end of the season. I 100% knew that Mercedes would be this dominant, just didn't have the spare cash to bet more sadly. Did ensure that a lot of friends got on it too though. I use oddschecker to ensure I get the best price available and that means lots of different bookies are used.

Great! I would love to have you copying some of my bets :-)

Hardly bet anything so far. The market is well priced and I'm struggling to find any value spots. Will probably bet some more after practice tomorrow.

Just maxed out my £10 for this week, here is the complete list:

    Race 11: Hungary

    Paddy Power
    W/O Mercedes: Sebastian Vettel @ 9/2 - £1
    Group B (RIC/VET/BOT/MAS): Sebastian Vettel @ 7/4 - £1

    Bet365
    W/O Mercedes: Sergio Perez @ 40/1 - 25p

    Bwin
    Race Winner: Lewis Hamilton @ 4/5 - £2.50

    Stan James
    Top 6 finish: Kevin Magnussen @ 3/1 - £1

    Bet Victor
    Group C (KYV/VER/GRO/MAL): Daniil Kyvat @ 2/1 - £2.13*
    Group C (KYV/VER/GRO/MAL): Jean-Eric Vergne @ 2/1 - £2.12*

    Total staked: £10.00
    To be settled: £10.00
    Returned: £0.00
    Profit/Loss: £0.00

    * Did this because Toro Rosso should easily finish higher than Lotus, can't believe they are offering 2/1 on both Toro Rosso drivers. The bet size was just due to how much of my allowance I had left this week :-)

I was going to take some of your tips to bet on, but obviously you,ve done them before qualifying.
If you see this before the race tommorw what do you reccommend now you,ve seen the qualifying and places on the grid?

    Thx

With both Mercedes drivers having reliability issues in recent weeks i,ve gone for a punt on these two who should be there or thereabouts barring any trouble. Also both got good str8 line speed. Chose Riccardo over Vettell simply for the price (also won on him last time i backed him). Just like him as well always smiling and doesn,t seem to mind doing his interviews unlike most F1 drivers despite the millions their getting paid

N1 Nosey. Gr8 price as well. I thought they,d messed up the strategy after bringing him in after the 2nd safety car but well chuffed for him and a bit off profit off course. Gr8 race as well. Can,t beleive Hamilton came bk from the grid start and then spinning on 1st lap to get another podium

Thanks! Yeah I was going a bit nuts for the last 10 laps or so (when DR was 3rd).

It was a great race. Funny I told a friend not to bother because this one is always boring unless it's wet.

I really like Daniel. His attitude is awesome. Always happy - like he knows what an amazingly priviledged positition he is in and there's no need to be grumpy ever.

V nice touch. I had a dabble on Hamilton to get on the podium at 9/4 this morning, so was a very interesting last few laps. Was nothing compared to getting a 25/1 shot up though. Wd

Mercedes are acting happy with this result - but actually it's not great, and they know it. Their car is so dominant that they should really be finishing 1-2 every race, even if they both started on the back row of the grid ..

3rd place was not a good result for Lewis. Without the mistake on the opening lap, he would have won the race.

    Good luck, Peter.

I've gone with my usual Daniel for the win - he's been very lucrative for me this season with his previous wins! I'm a total DR fan now. Such a breath of fresh air seeing someone enjoy it like he does, always smiling never whining.

And as a bit of a fun backup I also have Williams for the win (either driver, was swinging towards Bottas but couldn't decide for sure).

Both bets at 12/1 placed a few days ago.

Daniel Ricciardo will have been lucrative for most people this season! Mercedes really are having a poor season, despite dominating. They should have easily won every race in 2014 ..

Hmmm, 12/1 seems like a poor price, I saw near 20/1 for Ricciardo and Bottas on Thursday evening - do you use oddschecker? Nevertheless, best of luck!

Usually I wouldn't bet such a big portion of my "bankroll" on one bet, but given how things panned out in FP1 & FP2 yesterday, this price is madness! I reccomend you all get on this one!! :-)

Minutes after I place that bet Kvyat gets a 10-place grid penalty for changing his engine ..

Nevertheless, I would still recommend the bet - just maybe don't stake as much as you were originally going to. He has half a second per lap on Vergne, even starting 10 places behind (worst case scenario), I still think he'd beat his team mate over a race distance - especially if we saw a safety car. Meanwhile, the Lotus cars are very slow and not a relevant factor.
