    Hope you enjoyed Tuesday night’s show. Barry Carter was a great guest and it made for something a little different. Thanks for all your input and questions.

    Just as a suggestion, Do you think we could send in MTT requests during the 10pm hour as Mr B is a fountain of knowledge in tournaments as opposed to cash?

    Or maybe cover the roller journey from 9-11 over 2 hours as its a pretty long mtt and covers various stages of play?

    A question or two for Matt (serious ones)

    I needed to find some lobbies this morning to update the results thread from last night so I had to think who would of defo played them all so I could get the tornament ID from their sats....Matt was the first and only one I needed to check! 

    Anyway, I noted that he did not win/FT or cash in any of the 7 tournaments he played last night on Sky....

    Has this ever happened before??

    Did you win/crush elsewhere?

    How (if at all) would  this affect your mind set for your next session you play?

    Hope you have a good show, and respect to Matt for his continued success on the site.

    Question for Mr MATT BATES ( would also reiterate Mr Ivanovic's question as to the origins of the name ;-))

    We obviously see you being extremely successful in what is generally considered a fairly high variance format, how many MTT's across various sites do you play and what would you say you 'cashing' percentage is/what do you expect it to be?

    Yes. Or, another way of putting it would be, some people just don't need the extra leg-up of a Sky Sports simulcast. Their shows get big enough ratings on their own.

    Questions for Matt!

    How did you get to the level you are at? Has it mainly just been a case of getting better the more you have played or have you had coaching from somewhere?
    Do you still spend a lot of time thinking about your game or specific hands that you could have played better?

    Hi all looking forward to the show.
    A Question for Matt then.
    Is it best to try to get a stack early and risk going out.
    Or play tight and wait for the later stages.
    Or just see what happens and play accordingly?

    Against a very tight person in the bb and let's say you have 10bbs on the btn, do you think it's more profitable to min raise/fold rather than jam?

    great show guyes

    question for matt
    at the minute i keep walkiiig into the same trap every week, getting a great chip stack but then loosing lots of chips to limpers when i'm in the SB or when my isolation attempt has failed.
    what pieces of advice would you give people about isolating limpers in the late stages of an MTT?

    So Matt, I'm a long term fan.  You're my poker hero.  I remember that day and a half you were on a downswing.  Good times.

    My questions:

    What tournament performance do you consider your 'break out' performance where you realised you were half decent at this game?

    When playing live cash in Vegas, how important is it to attract the cocktail waitresse's attention every single time they walked past?

    Bluffing Rastafish in a live tournament.  Good idea?

    How do you mentally prepare for Day 2 of a live tournament?  Is railing pretty difficult?
