maybe Churchy could ask someone at sky to change the name of the thurs eves games to forum or FOSP PL08 challenge (or whatever) and include a sentence in the blurb to say see forum for details of the competition.

Not sure how else i can try and get more in it i post it on facebook and on here every week and have asked people like tikay and neil channing too play too try help attract players as well also went around all the plo8 games going on the thursday and told everyone about it but stopped as thought i was annoying a few people.
I have emailed sam too ask about maybe getting the name changed as suzy says as that could be a big help as last week or the week before shellyyy won and did not even know until i asked if she knew she had been entered into the games about 30 minutes before the 1st game started.
So think that could help and also i will ask about it maybe being stuck too the top like they do with dtd that might help also.
Any other ideas please post them and we can try them anything that will get more players playing and more money in the prizepools.

Steve never meant it too come out as if i was moaning just not sure how/what else too try do I agree with mac that what is probably missing is a bigger buy in too attract more players from hold/em as she hits it on the head with winning a happy meal last night the 9.20 game was on till after 12 and i finished 3rd for £6/7 so 3 hours for £5odds not really going too attract someone who grinds £11+ mtts.
any1 with any ideas please leave them and maybe we can try and see if sky could maybe help us out with a small change too the schedule.
And yes suzy666 you should have been entered tonight and next week is your last will message dan too try get it sorted but think kirsty was dealing with that set of entries will try get it sorted.

I only found out about this because somebody told me. It's not very obvious from the name of the games that this is a league, hopefully the name changes will help.
You could PM all the people playing only one game and explain what they are missing.
The league prizes are fine; if more people enter the prizes for the games will go up anyway.

I could do this without asking upstairs, but we have to be realistic with these things. It's great that Brian & others work so hard to run this, & of course you all know how much I would love to popularise PLO8.
However......
At present, it is simply not cost effective, even at the present volumes, for Sky to donate the prizes they do. In truth, that cash could be put to better use, with something that was more cost-effective. The money would still be given away for something, but right now, this League is costing Sky Poker more than can be justified.
Sorry to be Mr Wet Blanket, but them's the facts, so I'm afraid there is no chance of adding additional money, it just makes no sense. At some stage, it may even be that the prizes for this are reduced, & the cash saved used for some other League-based affair.
I personally think a 2.2 game with 3000 (or 2000) chips, starting at 8pm everyday would be popular. lots of people are playing the 1.1 games daily would also likely play it. with a reasonable field it would also attract the daily 5.5 regs to play alongside. with no guaranatees could it hurt?
There's a double edged sword here. Many of those who play the £1 jobbies cannot afford to go up to £2 every night, 7 nights a week. Personally, if there were a £5 or tenner every night, I'd play both, but the fields would be horribly small I fear. It sounds a bit offensive & elitist to say I cba to play a £1 Tourney, but you get my drift, I hope?
Anyway, lets discuss it, get some feedback from those who currently play regularly, & see what they think.
I can say, with 90% certainty, that if it was felt by the players that a nightly £5.50 or £11 PLO8 MTT was in demand, I could get Sky Poker to set it up. I'd just ask them & I think they would do it. I would NOT ask for it to carry a Guarantee though. If we - the players - demand a Guarantee, it probably won't get approved by Sky Poker. It might, but personally, I would not recommend it.
For what it's worth, (not much....) if there were bigger PLO8 or PLO MTT's here, I would commit to playing them regularly.
Have sent sam a email(hes off till monday i think)asking if there was maybe a way too get it posted on the offical sky poker facebook page/twitter feed
Also too get a small blurb in the details pointing people too this thread think that will help just like the names being changed on the games great idea suzy.
Also thursday is the 1st night the £2.20 game has been visible if playing on a tablet think that helped boost the numbers slightly as well for that game don,t know why i never pointed it out before.
Here is an idea maybe some will like it some won,t for those wanting a £11 game how about a big 1 last sunday of the month and we could rework the prizes so instead of entry into all four games give them option of which they prefer. to get that too work we would probably drop the 2nd place £33b/hunter seat make it entry too the sunday game or all four on the thursday or somthing along those lines.
What about also if we could get a monthly game on the go sky could maybe run a sat every night 1 seat gtd £2 buyin too try help build entries try that for a month and see how it goes as i feel if it got too 30 it could maybe take off as some of the bigger buy in players would maybe be more intrested if they where going for £100 for 1st instead of what some of them pay in buy ins day in day out.
