I am so glad to have found this comp of late - it is really my bag as compared to the 2 card stuff. I sometimes do not play the £5 game as i am treating it as a challenge not a money making experience - I prioritise finishing position over cash - HOWEVER - if it was a fiver - or heaven forbid a tenner i would play for the kill!! That being said i think Sky have been uber generous here and wouldn't mind it staying the same (i realise however they are losing money - not a good business strategy!!)

I would be tempted to a 2 x £5 a night challenge (not a single tenner game) if the starting chip count was 5000 or at least a bit higher than the normal 2000.

Some great replies as tikay said we should be careful at how we do this as sky really do give this a lot of backing and feel it is unfair too ask for more until week on week the numbers rise it is just trying too get more people interested. Have sent sam a email(hes off till monday i think)asking if there was maybe a way too get it posted on the offical sky poker facebook page/twitter feed Also too get a small blurb in the details pointing people too this thread think that will help just like the names being changed on the games  great idea suzy. Also thursday is the 1st night the £2.20 game has been visible if playing on a tablet think that helped boost the numbers slightly as well for that game don,t know why i never pointed it out before. Here is an idea maybe some will like it some won,t for those wanting a £11 game how about a big 1 last sunday of the month and we could rework the prizes so instead of entry into all four games give them option of which they prefer. to get that too work we would probably drop the 2nd place £33b/hunter seat make it entry too the sunday game or all four on the thursday or somthing along those lines. What about also if we could get a monthly game on the go sky could maybe run a sat every night 1 seat gtd £2 buyin too try help build entries try that for a month and see how it goes as i feel if it got too 30 it could maybe take off as some of the bigger buy in players would maybe be more intrested if they where going for £100 for 1st instead of what some of them pay in buy ins day in day out. I have tried mick tikay wont go for it will ask dan if he will change suzy666 too macacgirl and then tikay will deffo ban her:@} Again thanks for replies and ideas and the support all give this great wee game. Hi Brian,

Changing the NAME of any Tournament is easy, & I'm sure Sky Poker would do so without too much umming & arring.

So if you guys can come up with better names for these Tourneys, make some suggestions, then we can have a word with them Upstairs. 
 
Be careful though, I believe the MAXIMUM number of characters (including spaces) is 17.

Incidentally, I had no idea what "FOSP" even meant, as I don't have Facebook. I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

Hi imber,

Glad you are enjoying the 4 card game.

Structures, clocks & starting stacks is quite a complex thing, but personally, in PLO or PLO8, I prefer more starting chips, 3,000 minimum, maybe 4,000 or 5,000 for bigger buy-ins.

Omaha is peculiar, in that, if you play it properly (or like most of us, at least try to) our entire stack can be in the  middle on Hand One of we flop a monsta draw. And when I spend £5 or £10, I sort of prefer that "second chance" if that draw misses.

Again, it would be easy to change, but it needs to be considered carefully - many players would baulk at the thought of some of these Tourneys going on longer than they already do.

personally, I think the 4 games for the night is good, the only thing is low stakes only players start at 19-50 and if bust early have to wait 1-1.5 hr for the next 1.1T. I know some think this is an issue and can think of  reg who only plys the 21-20, no easy solution

I think the 2.2 game is likely to have more players as a 2.2 with 100 GT than as a £3 (IMO).

I'd like to see an £11 game on thurs eve, if the 5.5 is anything to go by, it would likely attract 10-15 plys and be like a sit and go, I wouldn't make it as part of the league or give it a GT.

A monthly big one would also be good ( £11 entry) , maybe the league winners get auto entry, maybe 1st place gets entry plus £33 entry

Think there is definately a market for an £11 game. However, I would keep it away from the PLO8 night. Already there is a split between the players that play all four tournaments on a Thursday & those that skip the £5.50 one, presumably because it is too expensive for them.

While you say you wouldn't make it part of the league, it may prove a distraction. I would play an £11 game but I doubt that I would play it on a Thursday night while playing the league. I would play either the £11 game or the league.

I would prefer to play an £11 game on another night, maybe Friday or Sunday although in truth it could be any night.

Like the idea of a monthly "Big One" event.

Here is a post from the ukops thread by sky dan so there is definetly going too be a half decent game on during it which will be good and probably be a plo event too.

Pretty sure there is a few bigger stakes players that would play a bigger buy in game tikay has already said he would if the prize money was better.

The main thing I'd like to see is a PLO8 tournament. Given that the series is going to be 15 days long there could even be more than one - a low stake one and a medium stake one. Something like £22 with £1k gtd and a £5.50 with £500 perhaps.  I think it'll be difficult to provide enough variation for a long series though and there needs to be something that will set it apart from the normal daily schedule. I presume that UKOPS events will replace the main and mini each day, but will they replace other events as well? For example the £22 BH at 7pm or the £55 at 9pm?

There will definitely be a PLO8 tournament. Not a main event, but certainly something around the numbers you mentioned.

And yes, the main/mini events will be replaced with bigger guarantees. Other tournaments like the 9pm £2,500 BH and the 10:30pm £1,500 BH will be replaced with bigger guarantees also. The 10:30pm tournament will likely stay a Speed/Turbo BH given the time of night etc. but we are looking to mix other things up.

Just a suggestion - but we could cut and paste the message below to every table chat room of each game tonight to spread the word. Did you know that this game is One of Four being run tonight as part of a weekly and monthly competition with prizes donated by Sky. You need to play at least TWO of these games tonight to register a score - and then at least 3 Thurdays out of the four in September to qualify for the monthly prize. More info in the Community Poker Chat (look for FOSP OMAHA HI/LO NIGHT) - or ask here - someone on this table will know!!! Hi imber,

That'd be a nice idea, but I'm pretty sure there is a character limit on "push" Messages, & that one is way too long.

PS - All the hard work you guys (You & Brian especially) promoting PLOL8 is tremendous, well done. I really ought to play these, but I can only manage 6 Tables, & I'm usually busy with DYM's. Might give them a whirl for the next League though.

I will play a £22 PLO8 provided that it is on a night when I am in. Can't play Wednesdays but usually make most other nights. Obviously, Thursdays are usually good - last night was an exception.

Hopefully, it will be with a decent stack. 10k would be good.

Just keep running it, banging the drum, & making positive noises. Big handsome oak trees take a while to grow, but eventually, they become huge, all from little acorns.

Love the way the Community here runs these things, it's the best thing ever.
