    Well hes backed Uruguay to win the whole thing so he wont be backing ghana but ive just filled my defence in my dream team Uruguyan defender so ghana will probably be a great bet, as far as horses go id reccomend nobody backs the following sicne I fancy them.

    heads up mate theres nothing worse than backing a few and not even getting a chance to get excited. when i have that sort of run i tend to only back one or two a day and only ones i realy fancy beacause i tend to try and find winners in every race and get more and more annoyed

    Ive had a look mate but cant seem to find anywhere wehrre u can bet it. Another big betting chance starts tomorrow with Wimbledon you haivng a bet?? I know it always eems to be the same people who it it, they reckon its nailed on to be a federer nadal final and the 2 williams sisters facing each other but i fancy a couple of upsets this year just dont know who is gonig to do the upset lol. So for the men ive backed any other to win it at 16/1 so I have the wqhole field except Federer, Nadal, Murray and Roddick. Also gone for any other in the womens, at a bigger 27/1 its bigger because theres more people to dodge, both Williams sisters, Hennin, Clijsters, Sharapova, Stosur, Azarenka. Ill be ahving a couple of big accas tomorrow as well, tend to do well the first weke at wimbledon. Gareth

    Bit more than a big blind.
    As I have had a good world cup(about £150. up)
    and I won emilyeggs- good-bad+ugly world cup comp, winning entry to fridays Take-on-Tikay.
    I somehow managed to finish 2nd to scotty77 and won £106.
    + I've won 3 other tourneys in the last few days (one with over 100 init.)
    So I've gone mad tonight and stuck £300 on Holland tonight @4/6. (Hills)
    Win or lose I will be back to my usual £20 stake, for tomorrows semi. I think that will be either spain or the draw, or I will probably do Spain to win @ anytime.
    Just one game tonight, hoping it will go to form.

    DOOHHHHH- I put on a post somewhere last week, that you should lay off your Uruguay bet, I think mp33 asked you if you were going to lay some of it off. + I said you should lay the lot of it off.
    Thats 2 people advised you what to do. Yes my bet is 90 mins. Lay your bet off, then we can both win.

    DOHHHH-laying a bet off.
    Imagine you've put a big football bet on, you pick about 15 teams accumulator,and chuck a fiver on it.
    14 teams win and the 15th DOH UTD are playing tomorrow.
    When you work out your 14 winners, you realize you've got £5,000 going on DOH UTD @ evens.
    So if DOH UTD win you get 10 grand.  That is 10 grand or Nothing. You get nothing if they don't win.
    Then I'd say instead of 10 grand or Nothing.You could just get 3-4 grand guaranteed now and forget about the game.Your getting 3-4 grand for your 14 picks and it doesn't matter if DOH UTD win or lose.
    So do you go for 10grand or nothing(you could be skint tomorrow) or take 3-4 grand now guaranteed. (you did only put a fiver on)

    Now how you would do it.
    You've got your betting slip if DOH win- so you have to back the other 2 possible results (draw + away)
                   

      odds                                 DRAW                             odds

     EVENS    DOH  UTD               2/1       RED ROSE UTD      9/4


    You know if DOH win you get £10,000. So if you put £3,000  onthe draw = the away,thats £6,000 staked.



                stake                             odds              return
      Betting slip      DOH UTD           evens        £10,000

             £3,000     RED ROSE UTD     9/4          £9,750

             £3,000       DRAW                2/1         £9,000

    Total stake £6,000.         Take the stake off each return to get your profit.



    With the £6,000 taken off it gives you your profit/return.

            IF         DOH UTD    win    you get £4,000.     (£10,000 minus your £6,000 safety stake)
                  RED ROSE UTD  win    you get £3,750
                                DRAW         you get £3,000


    So thats laying a bet off,   
                     And heres the football results:...................

               DOH UTD  1   RED ROSE UTD  2

    Looking just above you see RED ROSE win YOU'VE GOT £3,750.
    So you went to the bookies put a losing bet on- 14 out of 15. but managed to walk away with £3,750.
    Thats laying a bet off in style.
    You can still do it with much smaller stakes.

    DOOHHHHH   You never stood a chance of winning with DOH UTD.Not against RED ROSE -  because I'm a Lancastrian in Kent. lolol!
