How many points do u stake on correct scores? I'm guessing its 0.x? Going back to Northamptons winding up petition in 11 days, it could go either way. A takeover is close, but the new owners need to agree a repayment plan with local council over the £10.25m they loaned us that has "disappeared" and our current chairman has been in hiding for weeks. At the minute there are only 2 real outcomes. - a takeover is successful and we can continue on our current points total. - the club folds on November 16th. It doesn't even look like going into administration is an option. Tense times. Posted by splashies
I brt much less on the Correct Score bets. They are really for fun but they have proved to be profitable for each of the last five seasons. I bet at 0.1 Point per Correct Score bet.
I am going for a small bet on the number of cards in this match. This fixture has a reputation for producing a red card so the bookies have set the line at 4.5 cards. This would have gone over 4 times & under 3 times on Forest home matches this season and over 3 times & under 4 times on Derby away matches. However, one factor makes me lean towards the Unders - referee Simon Hooper. In 16 matches this season, he has only issued 37 cards, an average under 2.5 & under would have won in 13 of those 16 matches and all of his last 7. It is quite possible that it will kick off but I am betting One Point on Under 4.5 Cards at 11/10.
Rotherham v Ipswich
I like low corners here but only just. The Millers last six home matches have had 5-8-9-7-12-2 corners while the Tractor Boys have had 7-5-8-13-6-12 on their travels. Bet One Point on Under 10 Corners (DNB) at 1.975
Football League Bets Just two bets this week with no L1 & L2 fixtures. Nottm Fo v Derby Co (Friday) I am going for a small bet on the number of cards in this match. Just one correct correct score at 10/1 so just about break even there.
Two side who started the season well but are gradually slipping back towards their more expected position. Bury have had repeated high corner matches on their travels. Their last seven away corners totals have been 16-11-15-16-15-18-15. The Gills match up reasonably well with three of their last four at home going over 11 corners.
Just one bet this weekend. Gillingham v Bury Two side who started the season well but are gradually slipping back towards their more expected position. Bury have had repeated high corner matches on their travels. Their last seven away corners totals have been 16-11-15-16-15-18-15. There were exactly 11 Corners so this was a No Bet.
Correct Score Bets: Bradford v Crewe 1-0 2-0 Swindon v Scunthorpe 1-2 2-2 Luton v Barnet 1-1 2-1 Oxford v Cambridge 0-0 1-0 Good Luck! Posted by Ice_Tiger
This should be a low corners match. Seven of Leeds' eight home matches have failed to reach 10.5 Corners at an average of 8.5 corners. Rotherham match up pretty well with all of their last five away matches failing to reach this line at an average of 8.6 corners. Bet TWO POINTS on Under 10.5 Corners at 4/5.
Scunthorpe v Bradford
This should be a low scoring game with seven of the Iron's eight home matched dropping short of 2.5 Goals. The Bantams match up pretty well with five of their last seven away matches also dropping short. Bet TWO POINTS on Under 2.5 Goals at 1.76.
Newport v Yeovil
Yeovil have been great for low corners in their away matches this season with seven of their eight matches going under the 10.5 Corner line. Newport are a decent match up with their last four home totals being 8-13-3-6. Happy to Bet TWO POINTS on Under 10.5 Corners at 4/5.
Correct Score Bets Current Profit - £186.37 Southampton v Stoke 2-0 3-0 Middlesbrough v QPR 1-0 2-0 (Friday Night) Wigan v Shrewsbury 2-0 3-0 Plymouth v Exeter 1-0 2-0 Good Luck! Posted by Ice_Tiger
Just the Boro v QPR score this week which gave us a small loss.
Football League Bets Leeds v Rotherham This should be a low corners match. Two Winners Out of three this week at Scunthorpe & Yeovil giving us a profit of 1.12 Points this week, taking our season's profit to 1.33 Points.
Time to look at the progress of our long term bets. Generally a good weekend with wins for Boro, Wednesday, Bury & Rochdale, Defears for Huddersfield, QPR, Leeds & Blacpool plus goals for Afobe, Bradshaw & Green (2).
I'm glad the Plymouth bet lost, means we are only 4 points off top now.
Finally the takeover at Northampton seems to be done, still need paperwork to be completed by Friday, but fingers crossed!
And minutes after the announcement, around 12 police officers removed paperwork and computers from the premises, so looks like David Cardoza will get whats coming to him finally.
The only way is up now, we have a fantastic squad and an even better manager for this level. Ricky Holmes, our best player should return within a couple of weeks too to add to the promotion push.
Quite a decent set of fixtures tonight and an opportunity to get stuck in.
Peterboro v Barnsley
There should be goals here. Matches at London Road are feauring more shots than any other ground in England at professional level as Graham Westley tries to meet his promises. The Posh average over 19 attempts per home game since August while conceding on average over 15 attempts per game. The last five matches have all gone over 2.5 Goals and average five goals per game. Barnsley's away matches aren't as high scoring but do match up pretty well with six of their nine matches going over 2.5 Goals. Bet FOUR POINTS on Over 2.5 Goals at 1.74.
Swindon v Walsall
This looks like a low corners match to me. Seven of Town's nine home matches have failed to reach 10.5 Corners at an average of 8.56 while six of Walsall's eight away matches have fallen short of this line at an average of 9.75. My only concern here is the number of 9 & 10 corner outcomes but still see decent value. Bet TWO POINTS on Under 10.5 Corners at 1.85
Accrington v Hartlepool
Sometimes you have to ride the wave and high goals at Accrington is the latest wave. Their last six home matches have finished 4-2 2-1 1-3 3-4 3-1 2-2. Pool's away record is only 5-4 in favour of overs but let's ride the wave. Bet TWO POINTS on Over 2.5 Goals at 2.02.
Bristol Rovers v Stevenage
This should be a high corners match. Stevenage's away record for high corners is outstanding and even at a line of 11.5, we would have won 7 times out of 9 on their games this season at an average of 13.57. Rovers match up reasonably well with 4 of their last 6 at home clearing this line. Bet TWO POINTS on Over 11.5 Corners at 5/6.
A more conservative option would be to to go over 11 corners with a draw no bet at 1.75 but I prefer the higher risk here as neither team has finished on 11 corners yet.
A full programme of matches in L1 & L2 tonight, from which I have picked the following for Correct Score Bets: Bury v Scunthorpe 2-1 3-1 Port Vale v Blackpool 1-0 2-0 Wigan v Burton 1-0 2-0 Oxford v Newport 1-0 1-1 We are currently running at a profit of £182.37 this season to level £10 stakes. The big bet won, Accrington was postponed while the smaller bets lost.
Think Northampton are overpriced for the L2 title at 12/1 and at 1/4 for the top three represent good value.
Decent results for us last night with Burton winning, Shrewsbury winning, Blackpool losing, Chesterfield losing, Peterboro winning, Portsmouth winning, Wycombe winning, Northampton winning plus Clarke, Madden & Bradshaw all scoring.

Three winners out of six but significantly the Six Point bet won, giving us a profit of 3.33 Points, taking our season profit to 3.60 Points.
This looks like a ggod bet for high corners. 7 of Burton's last 8 at home have gone over 10.5 Corners at an average of 13.25 while 7 of Millwall's last 8 away matches have also topped this line at an average of 13.6 per match. Bet Four Points on Over 10.5 Corners at 8/11.
Bristol R v Wycombe
Wycomble have been great for low goals on their travels this season with 8 of their 9 away matches failing to reach 2.5 Goals at an average of 1.67 goals per match. Rovers match up reasonably well with 5 of their 9 matches falling short of this line. Bet Two Points on Under 2.5 Goals
Morecambe v Dagenham
This looks good for high goals. 6 of Morecambe's last 7 at home have gone over 2.5 Goals at an average of 4.7 goals per match. 6 of Dagenham's last 7 away matches have gone over this line at an average of 3.3 goals per match. Bet Two Points on Over 2.5 Goals at 1.99.
