WD all who have completed.

I have updated the OP and we are almost half way through round 1 already.

I have been thinking about the issue of the "schedule"

Now we are up and running, for the most part people are getting on and playing which is great, equally I don't want anyone to be forced out just because they are busy/away at the moment.

I have decided to let it flow for but have my eye on Sunday 4th October as a provisional deadline for Round1 games. Any firm deadline will be given 1 weeks notice on this thread to make sure people have plenty of warning to either play or forfeit.

So,this is not a rule yet, just sharing thoughts.

Ballboy 2-1 Sir Gary


A really great match. A misstep by the hosts to take an early lead, but a good fight back from Sir Gary's men saw a triple barrel river pairing catch Ballboy unaware.

With the match at 1-1 moving into the late stages, a dramatic all in Ax vs Jx made it look like like Sir Gary's team would advance in the draw, but a gamble second pair for Ballboy, straight draw for the visitors saw a double brick and help the hosts towards the second round.

Hotwheals 2 - 1 Essexphil

Great game. Hotwheals takes an early lead and then Essexphil hits back to level the tie before Hotwheals hits trip 6s on the river in the decider to take it down

Just realised should have posted here and not other thread ........................doh!!

Just played the tie v Ambo, I won the 1st, he won the 2nd both nail biting, although he was lucky in the 2nd ;-)

Down to the decider...........over in a jiffy, level 1 both all in 77 v AJ.........lol

They held (hit another 7 just for good luck)

Great game and enjoyed the banter, he reckons he had Aces everytime I folded and he didn't show...lol

Good game with Catch-22, had to avoid lots of cards on the river in both games I won! We even had Hotwheels railing which was nice.

UL Neil but a big thank you for gracing our humble little competition, not the first time you have played a low stakes community event either. I know you played the 220 at 220 and the Thursday night PLO8 MTT league events as well.

So indeed just 9 fixtures remaining to complete Round 1.

For most of those I can see attempts to get the fixture played on the HUFA thread.

However, starting to worry about the following. Unless I have missed it no-one out of these have posted...

According to sharkscope she hasnt been online since the 14th of Sept, of course shark doesnt count cash games though.

Also RLT hasnt been on since the 7th Sept.

I hope all is ok, bit odd that you register for a hu tournament and then take a break for a few weeks?
