    id expect Spain to beat Croatia normally but with a draw being a good result for both sides i can see a boring 0-0..

    I still have a feeling Turkey are better than we have seen so far so im going for the draw and Turkey win double

    Outside punt for top scorer.... Ivan Perisic 150/1. Well worth a few quid e/w. Croatia are dark horses for the tournament & he was easily their top scorer in qualifying.

    Yeah, he's got a decent chance now i think/hope!! They are certainly in the 'easier' half of the draw after beating Spain to top the group. If they can get past Portugal (who haven't impressed me at all) then I can see them getting to the final, giving him hopefully 4 more games to score in. Fingers crossed!! :)

    I copied you here on Perisic and it looks good for the moment! I have a suspicion that Portugal may turn up properly in this game. They were unlucky not to win the first two matchs and Hungarys goals were kinda freaky. GL us tho, Ronaldo out the running cant be a bad thing

    Been off this thread and did not bet for a few days for personal reasons.

    Back on with small bets at the moment trying to preserve my slender profits and maintain my skybet club status.

    I backed Italy and Spain pre-tournament so the good news is I am guaranteed a Quarter Finalist. Italy were first so with the longer odds and the £3 free bets at stake I guess I am rooting for them. Just gone for a draw after 90 mins on that one.

    If Rooney has a good game I could be quids in.

    Gone for him motm, to score from outside area (16/1 boost), and to score 1st or last and England to win 3-0. Gone for walker to be motm and smalling to score+win too.

    Of my other pre-tourney bets...

    Still have Griezemann, Lukaku E/W,  Pelle E/W and Muller (not so much) in the top GS running.

    My bet on Hazard for MOTT took a boost yesterday, I suspect form in the KO stages will weight in favour when the decision is made so hoping that is the start of a Hazard inspired run to the final.

    Harry Kane top England scorer was looking doomed, hoping for some rememption today.

    Also have the double of Payet+Ronaldo to score from a direct free kick during the tournament which is still live.

    Just done a tally up and my match bets to date are showing a 6% return after the recent downswing.

    I know I am really just a mug punter and have made some mistakes and any +return has to be good.

    My pre-tourney bets are looking quite good at the moment.

    Letting my outright bets stand and will just see what happens in tonights semi.

    As well as my pre-tourney Golden Boot bet for Greizmann (and to a much lesser extent Muller) I have added some Free Bets and cash to cover other bets so have money riding on both France and Germany to win and ronaldo and gomez to win GB.

    I also hope I haven't bokked Jordz's Payet POTT by finally backing him at 3/1.

    Took a punt on the Tour de France.

    No value in either Froome or Quintana as form and team strength suggest it will be a close battle between those two barring accidents or major incidents.

    Just dont fancy any of the next in the beeting behind the top two so I have gone for some longer shots hoping for a podium finish.

    So, I have stuck a couple of small E/W bets on Bardet @33/1 and Henao @250/1 hoping for a podium finish. Bardet is in better form than his shorter priced compatriot Pinot and Henao should be top 10 so long as he doesn't completely blow himself out riding for Froome. Could be like Froome to Wiggins and Valverde to Quintana last year in the support guy getting on the podium. There is always the chance Froome has a problem and Henao takes over as team leader so at 250/1 had to have some of that.

    Edit:While there put a £5 free bet on Cav for today's stage. Couldn't believe he was 4/1 3rd fav having already won 2 stages and on the verge of history on the last sprint stage before the mountains. Boomio!

    Any thoughts on POTT?

    griezmann now odds on.

    If Portugal win almost certain to go to Ronaldo?

    If France win and Payet has a good game can he still bag it? 1st 2 games of the campaign he was head ans shoulders their best player and hasn't had a bad game. Griezmann was taken off 1st game and didn't start 2nd, but does that just mean he is playing well at the right time to get the award? Will the judges want to spread the awards around seeing as Griezmann has the Golden Boot?

    I need one of France to win, Payet to be POTT, or Payet and Ronaldo to both score free kicks to turn a profit on the tournament. Seeing this is the most I have ever wagered on sports betting, even if none of those happen I will be happy as the resulting £53 from the sykbet HTTs has me in profit anyway.

    Not worth betting on TdeF today until in play. Could be a day that a breakaway is allowed to form and get to the finish. If the peloton are in catching distance at the start of the last climb I would go for Bardet. He is a good climber, excellent descender. If the breakaway forms then there should be a clear favourite, either a solo specialist who will break away before the climb or the best climber in the group.

    Might stick a pound on ronaldo to score from outside area at the boosted 20/1.

    TdF froome pulled off a surprise yesterday. I suspect there was some planning and practice behind it given sky prepare so well and look for small gains. Most of the gc contenders stayed with sky on the climb but i dont think the plan was to break them. Today will be different with the first summit finish at the end of the biggest climbing stage of this years tour.

    Both of froomes tour wins have been set up by big wins on the first summit finish and 9/4 for the man with current and tour form seems good to me. Henao seems in excellent form. Looks like sky want to keep him in gc contention and give them more options. His overall odds are down from 250/1 to 66/1. He is also 66/1 for the stage so i am having some of that e/w. I can see scenarjos where he will be allowed the stage by froome if they drop the field or allowed to attack if the 2 of them isolate quintana.

    this is such a sweat, Payet was poor in the semi-final and for some reason subbed in the final, id completely given up on my bet when i went to bed last night, but wake up to see "Payet is player of the tournament according to UEFA's official barmometer" no idea if that counts or not.

    Update on the Tour de France bets.

    Bardet finished 2nd with 33/1 e/w
    Henao came 12th. Was much higher until he had to stay behind and help froome after he went for a run. Other efforts riding for froome cost him too but was skys 2nd rider in overall classification and was definitely good value at 250/1. 

    Part way thru I jumped on froome while still 8/11 so a nice  profit.
