Bust 4th for £560. Very happy with that from a virtual freeroll. Thanks to the awesome rail, pomfrittes, rainman, jac, aj, hendo, chilling, misty and anyone I missed there. Hhyyfty turned up as well, but not to rail just another holiday brag - off to find some "lady" friends apparently. Posted by Phantom66
Great Result .....really well played.
It was fun to watch and good banter (as ever) on the rail....WELL DONE
I have banked £500 towards the holiday fund. The way the pound is going I will need plenty more.
Leaving £219 in the B/R for now. Hope to try and satellite in to a UKOPs event or two.
The 2nd Main event entry fund is now just £1.75 in cash and 0 tokens.
Thanks to Mission MTT, I will get a £5 token for last nights exploits, although they need to be used within a week.
My monthly MTT figures are looking handy too.
WP to TEXANT who eventually took the main down last night. SoLack was a pain attacking my BB and came 3rd, and Spenna8 was the player who bust me short stack v short stack and he as AJ v A3s and holds, deservedly as he had just been on a miserable run of all-in losses. Lewbob earned a few bob in 5th and WUBBLE finished 6th without playing a FT hand as there was a 3 way coup on the FT bubble.
Early doors I was playing risk free small ball poker and slowly increased my stack until had to fold to a 3b shove just before the 1st break. A handy double up with a FH from a limped pot set me on my way and was pretty comfortable coming into the money bubble so while didnt fully lock up certainly slowed a bit as £72 for a Freeroll is always handy.
Once in the money I dwindled down in a card dead period but then came into my own with a 10bb stack and nursed it for a couple of ladders until I hit some hands and shot up to 4/13. With about 7 to go it was anyones with a narrow range of stacks until Solack pulled away. I wasnt really thinking about laddering as was 3/4 out of 4 for a while, I was just looking for a spot to get my chips in good which didnt happen.
Must thank the rail and well wishers on here though - really kept me going and thankfully noone bokked me. There were a couple of times when I shoved with not top of the range and was relieved to see folds after a gl message.
Nice one. £100 profit much more than a "token" success. WP Pom. Any more token success stories? Maybe Tikay could blog about them if we get a few? Posted by Phantom66
For anyone else saving tokens, Belsibub has come up with a work around to pick and chose which tokens you use to stop you losing change. This is important if for example you have some £2.30 tokens you want to keep for a few months until worth a big entry but get say 2x£2.50 tokens from a different promotion that have to be used during the week...
I got 2 £2.50 tokens thank's to my free entry into semi & had a couple of £2.30 ones stashed for a rainy day.Got round not using up my £2.30's(which was what the software wanted to use first) by buying to any mtt's with a buy-in less than the value of 1 token with a start time a good way off & seeing which token was used then de-reg'd(getting the tokens back) the mtt's that took the short use tokens & reg'd for what i wanted to use them for. Finally de-reging all the other mtt's to regain the tokens i wanted to keep.
£560 goes a hell of a long way in Thailand. Great result and very well deserved. Posted by hhyftrftdr
I can see why you might struggle to spend £560 in Thailand at the moment with the country in official mourning.
from BBC news...
""Access to entertainment, including restaurants, bars, and shopping areas may be restricted and you should behave respectfully when in public areas," says the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).
The death of a senior member of the royal family has in the past meant that bars and entertainment venues were closed and convenience stores stopped selling alcohol.
Thailand's Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha has already said that "all entertainment functions must tone it down for 30 days." Bangkok's notorious red light districts had already begun shutting up shop on Thursday evening.
"Refrain from any behaviour that may be interpreted as festive, disrespectful or disorderly," Australia's foreign ministry says, warning that there may be some disruption of commercial and public services, especially during the next 30 days."

Oh my, well done, very well done indeed.
So, Phants , after watching your heroics on Tuesday I decided to have a stab at spinning my £25 worth of tokens up.
The result was not as good as you managed but I am happy with these results:-
