SPIRITED AWAY ... if you have not seen this film I suggest you find it and watch it now, don't let the fact that it is a Japanese animation put you off, it won the OSCAR for Best Animated Feature in 2003 for a very good reason.. it is magical & gripping
The dollars trilogy is pure class, for its time it must have been a sensation(not that i was alive back then honest!) Btw i prefer 'for a few dollars more' out of the three, the music and the pocketwatch scenes are iconic.
Kill bill Vol 1 was the best film i had seen for ages and i would throw in Lord of the rings part 1 which really surprised me in a positive way, it was so much better than i thought it would be and only ppl with zero imagination could fail to enjoy that movie.
Die hard is my personal favourite, non stop action and that great accent from Alan Rickman!!
Just to throw in another one 'The game' was a weird film kinda made zero sense but was compelling viewing all the same.
The shawshank redeption ... say no more
The godfather I + II ... how has this not been mentioned yet !
Lord of the rings trilogy ... just good solid films
Pulp Fiction / Reservoir dogs / Snnatch / lock stock .... very good "gangster type films"
Rocky I and II ... gets me pumped when i hit a bad run and wanna get motivated
The Prestige .... very good for a magic / illusion film
