Diego Gavilan aka the sparrowhawk - the next big thing in 2000 for Newacstle!
He played four times for the 1st team I think, I remeber watching him play for the reserves against Whitley Bay at Hillheads on a November Tuesday night: a 6'4'' defender tackled him early on taking the ball and man - After that Diego ploughed a furrow up and down the wing approximately three feet outside of the pitch! Sparrowhawk - chicken more like!
