3.30: TASLEET NB Haven't had a chance to study much today, hoping to pick up a few tips from watching it live this afternnoon (ITV hub and earphones for the win). So if it was a live day I would probably go with the obvious pick of Chessman and my shortest price EPR pick Wentworth Falls Posted by Phantom66

In Response to Re: ** JACKPOT SYNDICATE ** NAPS THREAD ** LEAGUE TABLES ON OPENING POST ** : Soz bout that. I copied someone else's nap to make sure I got the right format, so I didnt get G on my case Edited after with the correct time though. Well done phants today. Posted by MAXALLY
no problem mate just thought I had better mention. wondered if it was a trick to see if I was checking properly LOL
Worried re top weight but last race at Chester bumped as he came out of stalls and twice stopped from making run still came home close 4th without being given a tough race . has also won on soft and over C & D. Praying he gets better luck this time and nothing at bottom of handicap is better than handicapper thinks.
I think you can stand down on the could have won a jackpot line though and not just because it would have madness to have gone for it with those size fields on a competitive card.
I had backed Tasleet last night, but I only backed Al Qahwa at 1.55 today so I wouldn't have been pushing it. I just thought it was good ew value at the time when I was looking to add picks for the EPRs. I nearly added to it when Ollie Bell interviewed David O'Meara in the paddock (still kicking myself).
I only backed Master Carpenter at 2.19 from the ITV4 commentary, I think it was Jonny Murtaugh who picked it and made a convincing case based on C&D and ground and general impression of the horse plus back to a competitve mark.
I think the going switching from good (good to soft in places) to soft certainly helped mix things up and worked in my favour especially when some of the favourites I had opposed bombed.

Think it was Jason Weaver, they were certainly giving him the credit after the race. Impressed with his tips since he been on , doesn't pick the obvious and like you has had a number of big winners this season
In Response to Re: ** JACKPOT SYNDICATE ** NAPS THREAD ** LEAGUE TABLES ON OPENING POST ** : Just checked and Racing Post Ratings tipped Master Carpenter but I had missed it when doing my own picks. Looks like someone had a much better day than me though https://www.sportinglife.com/racing/news/pick-7-jackpot-joy-at-york/67980 Posted by Phantom66
hoped he had an accumulator odds something like 1.8million to 1

Yeh Jason Weaver is absolute TOP CLASS with his picks and info, always listened to him when he was on ATR, though i don't bet on the Flat other than Group races and big handicaps. He's very funny too, sort of similar to how John Francome (very, very shrewd) used to be on Ch4.
Mick Fitz is the same with his tips and info but over Jumps (not as good on the flat) .....particularly anything from Nicky Henderson's (who he rode for), or anything he tips coming over from Ireland.
As you say in your post Phantom... RPR very good too for nice priced winners and I see BEN LINFOOT(who I've followed for 2 years now) from Sportinglife.com napped TASLEET too. He's now very well known in the Betting Industry(Better on the Flat than over Jumps). On a par with Pricewise(Tom Segal), both of whom's naps are always the early movers in markets the day before.
Yes Misty I do follow Ben Linfoot and especially his valuebet column as it goes for just the sort of pick I am looking for.
I happen to be on one of his today too, although I have backed it myself twice this year with a 3rd in the Lincoln and 7th in the Newbury Spring cup where he was hampered and the form from that race is doing pretty well lately.
He should like the conditions too so my NAP is
4.05:DONNCHA
GL all
NB The Duke (Yorkshire Post) also napped Tasleet yesterday and I do also take a close look at his NAPs as he often NAPs value odds and has a good record at the Yorkshire meetings.

If Wynne and I had had Phantom's pick in our respective Placepots, we'd have won it.
So, I am looking forward to seeing all the picks. Especially the men in form, namely Phantom and MK.
No pressure guys. :=)
GL all with your NAP selections and any bets you may have.
