I know we only have one NAP for the league, but if I have time I thought I would try and pick 2nd and 3rd choices to hopefully help me improve for my own benefit and be more helpful on live days.
Today if I had 3 picks I would also be on
2pm The Right Choice (Trainer/jockey/breeding and seems value especially with low draw)
330pm Jacbequick (C&D specialist all 5 wins here albeit not for a while)
Put some money on to make sure I note the results.
4.30: THE RAVEN MASTER HI Vaigret, when recording the naps can you put a : after the time (as my nap above) or you might set of Grahams OCD again Posted by Snuffer
LOL, you guys must hate me. :=)
Consolidation post looks perfect atm. Except for BEBERLEY and no space line after Micky's selection.
The extra space between Tues and 16th could also set the OCD off.

GL us then, I hope we have made "the right choice" (looks like the market is behind it)
I'd say it was good value when I backed it and worth the risk for a debutant.
The slow start cost it and will hopefully come on for that, it was certainly travelling at the end when finally found some space.
Lord Riddeford was on the shortlist but didnt fancy it from the draw, clearly had enough to overcome that though.
No surprises in the top 4 at all, just on the wrong one today and the gamble for the debutant over other novices with runs didnt pay off. Don't think I disgraced myself anyhow.
Overall I will definitely look out for its next entry.

2 year olds do have to be pretty good to win on debut, particularly over 5 furlongs where there isn't much time to catch up. Invariably debutants don't come out of the stalls fast enough and can't claw back the deficit in such a short race. If they do then they are defo worth following.... but winners of races carry penalties, which are also quite difficult to overcome too, hence horses that have finished 2nd, 3rd or 4th on debut are well worth following in there next couple of races, particularly if you can get a decent each way price. Your horse THE RIGHT CHOICE is also trained by Richard Fahey, one of the TOP TRAINERS in the NORTH.
The fastest 2year old out of the stalls I have seen was TIGGY WIGGY who I backed every time she ran coz that's my youngest daughter's nickname. I was very lucky as she was Champion 2 year old Filly. As they say in racing.... "You can give weight away, but you can't give start!"

WELL DONE too V.
Yeh she really was something else. Her 1st race on the opening day of the Season on Kempton's All-Weathershe was backed from 6/4ish Fav. (A bit mean I thought for a newcomer) to 8/11 I think it was. I soon saw why. She shot out of the stalls and was 5 lengths clear after a few strides.... and just kept going further clear. Easiest money I ever earned. Well worth looking up on Archive/You Tube.
Richard Hughes did an amazing job keeping the lid on her, and how they got her to settle to stay a mile and finish 3rdin the 1000gns is beyond me. Mind you it did rather spoil her season i thought. I just can't wait to see her offspring, particularly as she was bought by Ballydoyle for over £2million. I'm sure she will have had a date with GALILEO.
just missed out by couple of noses 3.30 . Mohab 14-1 each way and forecast with Gerry The Glover. oh well profit never the less Posted by vaigret
Very Very unlucky. I thought your's was going to get there..... and there had been lots of money for Gerry the Glover today too according to Barry Orr of B'FAIR. When he speaks on ATR/RUK it's always well worth backing the horse he says there's very good money for, especially at the Irish meetings. They nearly always win/run well I've found.
