In Response to Re: SPT Manchester Structure, clock, start times etc. : I'm really pleased someone noticed that. As I wrote earlier, there is always a reason for everything. You are wise beyond your years. And that's saying something. Posted by Tikay10
My hotel booked the train itself booked all that's left now is to gain entry cheaply, if I don't well their's no need to worry i've still got alot on that high roller prize money.
We are taking onboard all the above feedback. We are speaking to the venue now and are hopeful that next week we may be able to confirm a change to the start time. Likely to be a couple of hours earlier on both days but confirmation will follow.
. I can't begin to imagine how much time and cost it takes to put these events on. SPTs are back! This is tremendous news. Let's not give the organisers any excuses to feel it was not worth the effort. Posted by Phantom66

Personally times do not matter to me, in fact the proposed times suits. I think that the estimated finishing times are an hour out. I calculate that they shoild be an hour earlier.
Sunderland vs Derby has been moved to the 4th August, Friday night. Assume we are all gathering round a telly cheering for the Mackems? Posted by hhyftrftdr
Why would anyone in their right mind want to do that?
tbf I cant lose on that match, if Derby lose that will be nice, if they win and get off to a good start it will only make it all the sweeter when they eventually bottle it and sack another manager.
However I would rather be at a poker table building a stack for day 2 than watching the footie.

I know I have posted already about this, but can somebody else check finishing times. There are 4 playing sessions x 2 hours plus 2 breaks of 20 mins and one of 10 mins. I make that 8 hours 50 mins, which means day 1a would start at 6.00pm and finsh at 2.50am (not 3.50am as indicated) and day 1b would start at 4.00pm and finish at 12.50am (not 1.50am).

There is usually a one hour meal break, staggered with half going at a time.
Regrettably I shall be revisiting my youth that weekend at the Rewind Festival st Capesthorne Hall. Regrettable for everyone playing as value will be missing.
On the Friday play starts at 6pm with late registration until 10.40pm - does that mean that if you won a package for the Friday you could actually get there later than 6pm and take your seat any time before late registration closes rather than you chips being whittled away in your absence from 6pm onwards?

Dont think so, anyone that is entered before the start time will be paying blinds from 6pm. Anyone that physically enters late will pay blinds from when they sit down.

If you were intending on arriving late, you would be better buying in when you get there assuming there are no restrictions on this.

Morning Pete.
Leave that with me, I will have a word and get back to you tomorrow. It may be possible if we know in advance, but let me ask the question.
