I  excluded myself for the same reason but it was Sky Vegas (roulette mainly).
Why can,t poker sites, just stick to Poker. Its a shame but on most sites now your only a click away from blackjack, roulette etc  but I guess thats where they make their money.

its cost me in the past but I stay away from that deadly vegas button now.

you mean in 5 years! Can this be undone or is this now compulsory, if it is i think its very extreme, i reckon it should be 24hours, 1week, 1 month, 6 months or forever! 5 years may as well be forever. Also i reckon there should be some sort of appeal if a player has second thoughts on self exclusion, but i suppose with all the furore about people betting their houses etc, it aint gonna happen! Good luck to Gareth in the future and i suppose we dont know his personal circumstances so who are we to judge the merits/demerits of individuals self exclusion.
