    Next Monday, LEON1 and blankcheck will be invited to play THREE heads-up matches.

    The first game will be Pot Limit Omaha.

    The second will be Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo.

    The third will be Pot Limit Omaha.

    Suffice to say, whoever has a winning record at the end of those three matches will be declared the champion of the OmaHartigan League and will receive free entry into a Sky Poker Tour live event.

    The runner-up will receive free entry into Primo the following Sunday.

    I hope as many of you as possible will rail these heads-up S&Gs as the OHL is extended into...WEEK 7!!!

    So, that’s (almost) it, folks!

    Apologies if the following sounds like an over-emotional Oscars speech, but I believe in giving praise where it’s due…

    First of all, congratulations to blankcheck and LEON1 who advance to next week’s play-offs.  I’ll finalise the details tomorrow and will contact you both privately.

    A hearty well done to OnlyOneCT and starnow for sharing third place.  Great performances, chaps.

    Thanks to Machka for unintentionally inspiring the idea for this league by bullying me into playing an Omaha MTT eight weeks ago!

    Huge thanks to MereNovice for his statistical analysis and supreme speed at compiling and e-mailing the weekly league tables – and to hawk7112 for his hugely entertaining forum updates.

    Big props to Tikay for all his help in getting the OHL off the ground and his continued support for the promotion, especially in Week 3 when he deputised for me.

    A respectful salute to Richard and Jack in Marketing for backing the league and offering those fantastic prizes – and to Adam and Jordan up in Leeds for altering the weekly Omaha tournament schedule.

    Finally, mega thanks to EVERYONE who played in the OHL events.  The size of the fields in both the PLO and PLO8 tournaments exceeded my expectations every single week.  Let’s do it all again soon :)

    Wow!. All i can say regarding my efforts is i got out of jail with results going my way in spectacular fashion and i am VERY VERY lucky to share 3rd place with starnow.

    How to sum up the last 6 Monday evenings with the Omahartigan League - Its been like poker's answer to swings and roundabouts with the lead chopping and changing at key intervals and its been a case of who knows what will happen next. I think everyone will agree that it has been a HIGHLY enjoyable tournament series to be a part of, i personally have learnt a lot more about the mastering of both PLO/PLO8 and ill admit i surprised myself that my 2 leg victories both came in PLO8 as before Omaha was introduced onto Sky Poker, i played a fair bit of PLO elsewhere online but i only ever played PLO8 three times previously and thought i would really struggle but i find PLO8 such a fantastic skillful poker game to play and i will certainly be playing a lot more from now on.

    Ill admit i am gutted not to have won the League myself but many congratulations to blankcheck and LEON1 and i shall certainly be railing the best of 3 playoff next week and also many congratulations to starnow for sharing 3rd place with little old me and best of luck with the £10k BH on the 4th November!...

    Also id like to tip my hat to Mr Hartigan for championing Omaha with the creation of this League so brilliantly in my honest opinion and i would hope somewhere in the near future that something like this returns bigger and better perhaps!... :-)

    Anyway next couple of days is all about trying to get some match practice in for SPT Blackpool and hopefully another SPT Final table lol!........
