Poker Points -What can we do with them?

I expect this question has been posted previously but I am going to raise it again. 

I have approx 90,000 poker points sat in my account.  Apart from the points that are redeemed monthly for the cash for points promo, and the odd 100 point free rolls,  this figure has been constant for several months now.

Is there anything I can do with these points now?

If not how about Sky offering a once and once only cash offer for the points that many regular players have sitting dorment in their accounts.

Or possible let us use them to buy in to turneys, or even have a one off turney where anyone who wants can use there spare points,  with the starting stacks determined by the number of points redeemed.

Maybe we could be allowed to use them against merchadise,  or free bets, or money in the casino, etc etc.

Anyway hope these suggestions get viewed by the suits and maybe a response.  Would be good to hear anyone elses views as well!

    HELLO MATE... I POSTED ABOUT THIS A FEW MONTHS BACK... UNFORTUNATELY I NEVER GOT A REPLY AS I DONE A FEW SUGGESETIONS SIMILAR TO YOURSELF...SLIGHTLY DISSAPOINTED WITH NO RESPONSE BUT I THINK THEY DID HAVE AN EXTRA 100 POINTS FREEROLL OR SOMETHING...WHOOPEE!!!! BUT COMPLETELY AGREE WITH U SHANN.... I HAVENT GOT AS MUCH AS U HAVE BUT THEY ARE JUST SITTING THERE GATHERING DUST.... OTHER SITES REWARD PLAYERS FOR LOYALTY POINTS...     thanks for your query regarding poker points. we currently have a few interesting developments in the pipeline for poker points. unfortunately i am unable to provide much info on this but we will be make another announcement in a couple of weeks.... "watch this space"

    in the meantime why don't you use your poker points to play in the various freerolls we have going on throughout the week. for example there is the £500 freeroll tonight (friday) at 7pm where entry will cost you 100 points.

    go check out the lobby to see what's coming up.

    The sort of ppl who have 90,000+ points in there acc are generally not the sort of ppl to waste their time on a £500 free roll with a zillion runners.

    Can I respectfully suggest that we're allowed to use our SKY Poker Points in High Street emporiums (in exactly the same way as Nectar points)?

     

    If so, I'd like a case of wine (Pinot Blush, please); the Missus wants a tummy tuck; and I quite fancy cash-back on my next Sainsbury's shop.

    Thanks for the response Rich.  As the others suggested,  not likely to play in the free rolls due to the fact that it would be pretty pointless for me to do so.  Also I work evenings so dont start playing until after midnight. 

    Look forward to up and coming developements though.  I will be watching this space!

    COUPLE OF WEEKS.... WATCH THIS SPACE........AS QUOTED.......ORIGINAL POST DONE ON THE 11/09.... PLUS I METIONED IT MONTHS AGO....NOW THE 28TH...17 DAYS LATER OVER 2 WEEKS AND NOTHING.... RAPIDLY LOSING FAITH IN SKYPOKER!!!!!!!!!!!

    Would be good to be able to use them into some tourney's

    Maybe a few more small freerolls? Or money off SPT tickets?

    I will be shocked if we hear anything before CHRISTMAS,,even something like £10 for every thousand,,that would be fine with me..

    On a serious note i've commented on a quite a few threads like this and think for the amount of rake the points should be opened up to be used on either merchandise shop or tournament tokens to play in the bigger sky tournys

    Lol I got about 120k spare now - as I am sure have a lot of people.  At £10 per 1000 this would cost sky a fortune!

    £10 per 1000 is still only 10% rakeback (STT/MTT)

    well what is the gecking point in having them,,honestly they are slow,,and as he says above a good deal on rake,,if you work on that level...

    Sky's value doesn't rely on rakeback, it relies on the vast amounts of shockingly awful players :D

    I have just posted a thread about this mine mine are also largely dormant and other sites offer far better options.  The 7.00 free-rolls are difficult for me as have small children.  Greaer choice would be nice.  It may not appear to be a big thing but is one of the main reasons why I don't use the site as much.

    In particular - SNG's for points - so that smaller stakes players can build up points (that is when they have a value!) towards playing in bigger tournies

    I think the issue around poker points has become a little bit embarrassing. Poker points have been ignored for a while now and the current team have to sort it out in some way.
    I suggest that they buy the lot off us for maybe 25K i.e set up a 25K tourney where you get 1 chip for every point you have.
