    Hi Everyone,

We'll be dealing directly with those involved, but to address any general concerns voiced on this thread, here's an explanation of what happened and why:

As you can see from the thread, this was an unusual scenario. We had a guest in the studio who was involved in a hand which had been selected for being analysed in the poker clinic show. This normally happens as a pre-record with nobody else viewing. The studio operator went to locate the one hand in question as per normal, then since the poker clinic post poster was there in the studio they visually confirmed the hand was correct with the guest. At this point the operator realised their mistake that this was a 10 seat table which could not be shown on TV, and even though the hand had finished no showdown had been reached, and therefore it should not have be shown to the studio guest. Nevertheless, this is a one off error and should not have happened.

We appreciate and understand players concerns, however this was an isolated and (as some of you have mentioned) an unusual case of human error. We have spoken to the individual involved and we hold our hands up here and apologise.

We would like to apologise to all players seated during this single hand, in particular Ozzie08 who we will speak to separately.

We can absolutely assure all players that this has never happened before and will not happen again

    Kind Regards
    Sky Poker Team

Do hands that are analysed on the clinic have to be from a TV table and do all players involved in the hand usually have to give permission before it is shown ?

Im willing to accept what happenened in this instance was a genuine mistake, but it does put question marks over how well managed the security of hand histories is.

Would sky be willing to clarify:
    1. Who can view full hand histories?
2 How is when and which hands they can view managed?
    3. Are all hand histories viewed by someone for sky shown on tv? (Ones being checked for collusion of some kind excluded)
    4. How will this be stopped from happening again?

Is this definitely the case? I thought the poker clinic ones were taken from forum threads and play my hand requests

    1) Only a select few administrators, where it is needed to carry our their job. e.g customer care when someone asks a question about a hand and a studio operator to transmit on the show (remember noone can ever see live hands).
    2) Hands for TV are reviewed in order to see which ones are good for broadcast
    3) No - for example in the Primo we review several hands to decide which ones are best to transmit
    4) As mentioned before, it was an isolated human error. We have reinforced our existing processes.

    Thanks

    No problem Mark.

Hopefully this has helped to explained what happened, why it happened and how we are preventing it from happening again.

If anyone has any other questions, please contact customer care.

    Have a good weekend.

That's odd as I have had hands shown on tv from the clinic which were not on a mastercash table.
