Hi there Tikkay i'm very much new to this & very much a novice in fact i dont even know what most of the terminology means , but like many others i dare to dream about winning big . For instance the Sky Vegas Live i know that the lucky winners have their flights & hotel & buy in paid for & their partner goes with them . Brilliant , fantastic & all the other magical words , but what i want to know is on the SPT Glasgow do the luck winners get any travel/hotel costs paid for or are they to make their own way which is about 500 miles from where i live .

Hi there Hjaltland go on tell him tk lol please you tell me what i want to know it was a polite inquiry so you tell me Geese
Hi Geese, i don't doubt it was a polite inquiry and i wish i only lived 500 miles from Glasgow..... it costs me in excess of £1.000 to make it to an SPT and i consider it money well spent every couple of months.
If SKY paid expenses for qualifiers i'd have been barred long ago.
To put it in perspective...i'm no poker shark far from it but i enjoy playing...last year my wife was diagnosed with possible cancer and during the test period for this problem i qualified for the Manchester SPT....i said hang the expense we are going and we will have fun, eat fine food and meet fine people, just before we went my wife got the all clear and we had a great time at the Manchester SPT.
Next i qualified for the Newcastle SPT again we had a really great time and met more nice people...14 hours on a ferry, train fares, car hires, hotels and SHOPPING, it's like a weekend away every now and then when we are so glad the news was not of the worst.
Get yourself to Glasgow, say Hi and the first round is on me.
Why are there no sattelites running for £2.60? Were they not getting enoug runners? Also, is the buy-in for the main event in Nottingham more than for the rest of the tour?

Hey there,
let me quickly answer your questions...
There were last time around but unfortunately this year the tour has had no satellites running for £2.60.
The buy-in for Nottingham will be £220 (but please bear in mind this will only be available much nearer the time and if seats are available)
Hopefully that answers a few things for you but if you need anyting else - just shout.
Is it true that the blind levels at the Glasgow leg will go up every ten minutes?? Although I'm looking forward to it as it will be my first participation on the SPT, I do think that that is a bit of a turbo, especially for a live tournament! Thanks Posted by style2737
Thanks for replying to this mate!
Sorry for the delay, I have not been on forum for a while.
Good luck to everyone in the Glasgow SPT! I'm gutted I won't be playing as it is two days before my final exam.
I was looking forward to my first SPT on my own door step as well.

Thats fine by me how do you go about transfering it into my name
Hi can you please let me know if i can buy directly in to the Glasgow event at the Alea Posted by khrist1977
Hi khrist,
No - but there ARE two seats left which you can register for NOW at Sky Poker. Go to the Tourney Lobby - HERE & then go to "£12,500 SPT Leg Four" near the top of the Lobby & Register.
At time of Posting, it shows 133 seats sold, & capacity is 135, so there are still 2 seats left as of now.
PS - Very well done in the Tourney on Sky Poker last night!

To make a swap you have to contact Sky Poker customer services and see if they will let you
The arrangement you have made enough is not sufficient. As it stands the only person allowed to play this seat will be the person who qualified, if the other person turns up he will not be allowed to play unless you get permission first. The chips will go in play and be blinded away.
Typically in any SPT there are 3-7 dead stacks in play
Where on here can i find where poker tour will be and do you need to book your seat or turn up at the event? Cheers Younggoogie, p s how much are the seats???????

Have a look at this page here.
You'll find all the tour dates there and sats for Swansea will probably start just after the Glasgow leg
All the best.
