i am sorry i have not added any more input but this is due to a couple of important factors
1) i have a job
2) i have actual real life friends so can not spent every waking hour on this wonderful forum.
pryce6 and myself do not wish to be in a team,did you not know that about me already, last time i tried to join a team i got bullied and ended up getting nailed to a bit of wood,it bloody hurt!!!! dont want to be part of any team ever again thanks.
someone made a point about teams being good because you can swap strategies and information with each other making us all better players,when i first came onto sky we were a big team.the forum was used to discuss and help each other,hands were analyzed and players improved,but now for some reason you can only talk about hands with your team mates!!
I am aware that some people have called me a 'troll' which i now understand is some sort of wind up merchant,and i do admit that some of the opening post was intended to engage people in a certain way, but the points i am making are intended to be genuine,i do think there is to much of the team stuff on the forum,i know from this thread that i am in the minority and except therefore that nothing is likely to change,however using the power that is freedom of speech i just wanted to give my opinion!!!!

Welcome back Jesus, there is nothing like a good ressurection to cheer me up on a Friday... (its hard to get by just on goverment handouts and a life of solitude sat here on a laptop with only a bottle of cider and a 24hr jeremy kyle feed)
Firstly I would like to say that I like you, you have a skilful way of making a post sound honest and heartfelt while including elements that are pure sarcasm and loosly concealed slights on the very people who contrebute to this forum. That, albeit emotion provoking and controversial is highly entertaining and for that I doth my cap to you.
Secondly I would like to offer my testimonial on the subject. I joined Sky fairly recently and in between games i visited the forum and had a look at The Clinic.. Gen chat, Area 51 ect but opted to not join in as i was new and it is somewhat daunting when you know no one (adds some weight to your argument I believe).
However it was during a late night game that I was playing with someone who mentioned the DTD and the team elements on the forum. They were discussing how fun it was and mentioned that I should have a look at their team thread and the DTD thread. The next day I did, I read through their thread and saw nothing but support and good wishes for everyone involved. For a new player to Sky I saw this as my chance to get involved and to make some aquanintances. I asked to join the team, I registered in the DTD.
Since then I have seen and experienced nothing but good fun and rail support from all my team members. There are hands posted in the team forum but the analysis is not the same as in the clinic and I think that we all know that if we need a hand evaluating to a certain level then this is the place to go. The rail support in our team is second to none (and that nun is pretty good at railing)... I fully appreciate how players may be put off by this if you are in a game and team members come in to rail but this is part of Live poker and in fact it brings a more realistic element to online poker when you have 2/3 people supporting you at a key final table. Again I appreciate that this COULD get out of hand but as adults we are held accountable for our own actions and it is the job of all of us to control ourselves. If someone is going to be an idiot then they are always going to be, being in a team doesn't change that.
I believe that Sky are not naive and are fully aware that the 'Team' growth and development has to be monitored and I foresee them becoming more involved through competitions ect to have a closer hand on it but the concept does the opposite of what you think and generates interest, fun and enjoyment to the forum and the game. I agree that there should be a team section in the forum BUT then that is reducing the potential involvement of new players into it that may be looking for a way to join in. Commenting and getting involved in general chat is one thing but going to a sub section called 'Teams' and making enquiries seems less likely for a new player.
I think the root of your concern is valid but Sky will continuously oversee and develop the concept in a way that benefits players new and existing.

I am glad that the team stuff gave you an avenue to meet people and to join in with the site.i made my way when joining from watching the live shows and joining in with the forum posting s few hands and listening to advice,i played a few games with the play the presenters.chatted with them and got confident in conserving with members of the site (although i am not exaclty shy) each to their own!!!
the problme is if you are a new person now and all you see is teams teams teams you might think this is all that sky offers.you may not be the sort of person that wants to particaipate in that manner, but because you think that is the only think around you may lose that person for good......I think that you can have too much of anything not just the team stuff, everything in moderation as my mum always says....
