Hi all, Firstly hadn't ever thought of running hands after the event Trev, great idea, as a lot of my game is determined by the maths, (the one thing I was really good at , at school).I think that's why my online game isn't as good as my live game as I have less time to work things out in my head.. I do believe if you'd have put enough chips into the raise sherif007 would have folded. but Dale you might be right about them both calling. So as your stats prove you made the correct decision.. Secondly, re: HU, will all the players be sorting games out through here, or other means? as i'm sure we'd all like to watch these games. So was wondering if the games are organised elsewhere, could you post the time you'll be playing then anyone who wishes to watch / rail can do so.. Carl.. Posted by chubbers
This would be a great idea chubs to keep everyone involved.
So - Once players have aranged a date & time, please post it on here. Also post your results so jj can keep on top of it.
In Response to Re: Official - TPT (Team Poker Titans) Tribulations & Cashes : I thought about reraising instead of the flat call but decided that playgame would never fold to any raise and as Sherrif had reraised playgame I had to put him on a fairly decent hand as I knew next to nothing about his game. I was hoping to see a flop witth the 88 and go from there. But playgames reraise threw me and I considered the possibility that he did actually have a hand. When Sherrif called again I had the prospect of facing 4 possible overcards or a bigger pair from sherrif and my 88 didn't look so strong. Against one player I would have been happy to get all my chips in but I couldn't honestly see either of them folding preflop. Thank god not all decisions in poker are so hard to make. The only part I would fault you on is this. You are not deep enough to be set mining, you cannot expect not to see overs, and with the action so far you will never know if you are behind or not. Shove or fold - don't call. Given your view on the liklihood that you are called and that you would expect to be racing at best, it's probably a fold. (Although I'm not a short-handed specialist so I don't really know enough about likely ranges, but I agree playgame was playing very loose).
Just to say thank you for all your advice. As chubbers said 88 at that stage is a premium hand and in hindsight I wish I'd had the courage to shove, but with all the pre flop aggression I felt there was a chance that I could be behind. And I tend to go off my instinct as I don't know enough about odds and it's possibly an area where I should be thinking of improving so I was wondering how do you memorise the odds do you have to learn them by rote or is there an easier method?

Hi JJ. Had a PM from Geldy - He is going away at short notice for 2 weeks from friday, so he won't be able to plat the HU Challenge.
Geldy has a bye into the next round anyway, so this means that, whoever gets drawn against Geldy in the next round will automatically get a bye into the quarter final.

Had a great game hu game against jac got beat 2 0 still enjoyed it jac dont know were you got all them A from well played and GL for the HU Posted by KEITH1960
Thanks Keith
It was really enjoyable. I just think I had the run of the cards tonight.
What you have to remember steel is this is micro stakes deepy. If you raise and someone reraises you know they have aa or kk.Very few players reraise with less and if they do it will be ak,either way your'e way behind. They are not reraising just because they are on the button. This is micro stakes. You can find a fold to their reraise steel. That's just my opinion mate.
Pokertrev v Flyingdagg in the HU Challenge 8pm Saturday.
Just a little advice Steel....... AJ is ok if you get to see the flop cheap enough, but there's no way you should be calling his re-raise here with it with your stack and risking your tourney life. Once you make the call in this position you are always going to be pot commited.......Its just poker suicide m8, it really is.
Protect you stack at all times, fold and move on unless you have a made hand. Your stack was'nt big enough to make the call, but it was plenty big enough to fold and find a better spot imo.

Hi Dale, re this hand. You wanted to see a flop but folded when it was ONLY costing you 30k to call into a 370k pot.
From what you say i would assume that sherifoo has same opinion as you of playgame. From the action in front of you
what range are you giving to their hands. As you say, playgame could have ATC, so assuming Sheriff thinks the same
and only puts a small reraise in i think we can eliminate big pps. You are chip leader, playgames stack cant do you much
damage and having taken big pps out of sheriffs range i would have jammed. Playgame calls cos he is pot committed, S
folds and hopes you take playgame out so he ladders.
But having said all the above i am just an aggro monkey and would probs have been called by AA and KK.
Sorry about the way the above post has come out, i didnt type it like that but dont know how to sort layout. Might start just posting like IDCU did LOL.
