Love Stape's work.

Regarding The Big Game, what's your opinion of the standard of the loose cannons (amateur players who are staked by the sponsor for one buy in) who have appeared on that show?

Personally I think while a few have been very good, a lot fall into the trap of playing far too tight as they only have one buy in and generally freeze.  The fellow who folded Aces preflop springs to mind...

    looking forward to the show guys, iv won a seat into the primo and hoping for a bit of run good!! hoping you could show a few of my hands and review them.. this is going to be my 1st game after 2 weeks of tilt.. i was so annoyed with myself after coming home drunk a week last saturday and blew my roll  in a few hours, that i decided to quit poker.  two weeks of being on life tilt i feel lesson learnt and time to build my roll back up!! a cash intonights primo would be an excellent start!!

    ps guys - if you come home drunk and have £800 in your roll, withdraw it before you think it a good idea to play redmond on the £220 heads up sng tables.. seemed a good idea after 8 pints and a few jeagerbombs :)

    Was Joe the guy commentating with you (James) when the infamous angle shoot occured between Ivan de Freitez and the american chess player forget his name?! 

    If so what were his thoughts on it (is he secretly a genius because he won the comp... or is there truly no justice in poker?) and was he tempted to make a naughty comment on the air. 

    If I remember rightly you were both pretty appauled by what he did the comment "Your not supposed to actively root for players but I sure hope he mucks" comes to mind.

    there are set times for breaks in mtts.. i think players should eat during these times if they have to imo.. when they are slowing the game down because of their food then get greasy fingers all over the cards crumbs on the table etc.. it just tilts me beyond beleif!!  rant over... off to get a dink and pringles and settle down to bink the primo.

    i saw drive last night. finding it hard to come up with a better film ive seen this year. went into it not knowing fully what it was about, expected some hard hitting action 'fast and furious' type film but i loved the style in which the film was made. cant stop listening to the soundtrack either. few mates havent seen it yet so ill probs be watching it again this week.

    Something for stapes, the secret to not falling in love with the strippers, is to not make eye contact. They have powers....

    Hey guys looking forward to the show stapes is by far the funniest poker commentator ever.

    my question is:

    Has there been a particular hand that his commentated on that has made him go WOW because of a sick suckout (like a 1 outer) or a ridiculous hero call?

    if so does he remember it to describe it.

    that ivan freitz incident was the biggest tell ive seen in years even the tournament directer told him hes done this befrore and had the nuts and the mate still called him
