    Hi Tikay,

I would be interested to, never played live, I'm from Northampton so could you put my name on the list for the East Midlands one.

    Thanks

    Hi Tikay

As the thread starter, I'm obviously up for a session, and although I live in the SW area (Bristol/Bath) i'd be prepared to travel as far as Blackpool if required, or be the start of a South West group.

    Slowly, we are getting there.

As soon as we have 5 or 6 for a "Group" at any of the locales, we'll sort a date out.

So far we have, I think......

    The East Midlands:

    Steve Smith - Midlands area.

    STEVEMAX - Leicestershire

    Patching99 - Northampton

    The North West:

    Chris Cowley - Cumbria.

Madog - Bath, but will travel if necessary.

Tikay, Madog from Bath/Bristol area is not in the North.

They would be closer to the Midlands area than the North.

     Cheers Steve....

    Hi Steve,

Yes, I'm aware of that Steve. But Madog said - a few Posts above this -

So, if we get enough for a "South-West" Group, fine, if not, his preference was for Blackpool, rather than the Midlands.

Please remember, this is for relatively inexperienced players only.

I can significantly improve, & speed up the learning process, of ANY Newbie poker player, but I do not think I am qualified to coach or mentor players beyond that level.

I woud definitely like to do a boot camp. I am in Horsham so somewhere down South would be good. Perhaps Brighton?

I am not aware of any plans for a formal Sky Poker Boot-Camp in the immediate future. However......on a private basis, & for beginners only, I'd be more than happy to spend a day a month at different locations round the UK to help those who are new to the game, & need a little help with basics. There would be no charge, it'd be completely free. I'd prefer to keep it to manageable groups, 10 maximum really, so we can all work as a group, with time for plenty of 1 to 1 discussion. How do we get started? Just list your name, & where you live. If we get 6 or 8 players interested in, say, the North-West, I'll come up & we'll have a session at G Blackpool or G-Manchester. Ditto anywhere, really. So, the ball is back in your court now......

    Hi Tikay,

    Thanks for offering your time.

I would be interested to. I live n Grantham and could make the Midlands session. DTD would be fine, just down the A52 for me.

Been playing on the site a few months now, always looking to learn more.

    Tikay, you're a star!

I'm up in Scotland, nearer Edinburgh & I'm defo too wimpy to go to a casino on my own, being a girl and all!

If you do a Scottish meet, give me a shout.

Blimey Tikay, I'm stunned you've stepped up to the plate on this one, and surprised you haven't been deluged... yet. Maybe people don't read this far down the forum?

Anyway, I'm very much up for this... based in Kent/South East. London and Luton are best for me.

    Thanks for the offer.

I'm also very interested, i'm based south east/london area

    Hi All,

I've been pretty busy with other things, but this is NOT forgotten, & we WILL do it.

I'll Update the Thread on monday, & we'll start putting dates to venues, so we can get started.

I must stress, it is for beginners only, I don't feel able to mentor above that level, but I am 100% sure I can massively accelerate the competenence & improvement of all entry-level players. And we will. And we'll have a little fun along the way, too.

Are boot camps ok for people like me who want some first time live experience? (although I'm also relatively new to poker having only played since Jan 09). If so, I'd be well up for it. I can even travel as far as DOWNSTAIRS! :-D

Actually South Cheshire so anywhere sorta Midlands-ish / Manc / etc is fine.

100% yes, & I think that IS an area where I could help ANY Player who has previously only played Online. The difference between playing Online & Live is absolutely huge, & there are fundamental differences.

    So, yes.

Karen and I would love to come along (robbiesmum and sophiesmum).  Karen has been playing occassionally since January and I've played online only for just over a year.  We live close to each other in Lincolnshire so the East Midlands would be fine for us.  And we'd love to meet you and other Sky Poker players.

    Hi Tikay

Put me down for any boot camp in Scotland - Edinburgh would be ideal.
Never played live in a casino before and I reckon I would benefit from your help and advice.

    Cheers

    Tikay sir......

If you need to make up the numbers in the Midlands area and I am available, I can offer my presence if you need any help/assistance or just 'guinea pigs'. My 'live' experience is very minimal and I hope I could tag along to learn a few tricks of the trade when playing live.

    Regards,

    Alan
