I'd love to attend a bootcamp & meet other players in a live enviroment. However as I live in Scotland there would need to be multiple locations. Posted by Richard49
Id love to go to one and improve further,
Like yourself i live in Scotland, but if theres enough Scottish people to make it worthwhile then maybe we might get lucky.
I've been reminded of this by someone, my apologies for not moving it forward previously.
I've been a bit pulled out with one thing & another, this n that, hence I've not been on the Forum anything like as much as I was until the Spring of this year.
Hopefully, things will quieten down a bit now, so I'll try to get this moving.
Just to confirm, I'm doing this "privately", it's not an Official Sky Poker thing, and there will be no cost to anyone that comes along. Above all, though, I only feel qualified to help & assist newbies. But within that, we can work through all sorts of stuff, not just Texas game strategy, I want it to be more "in the round".
Thank you for the update mate, its totally understandable. Like you say, you're doing this FOC so whenever you can fit this into your schedule would be totally acceptable by me.
Kind Regards and looking forward with excitement , -Steve
This sounds like a great idea!! Would love to be inolved, Know monkey123 would too! We are based Uxbridge area, nr Heathrow but can make time to travel most anywhere, work permitting!
One suggestion that i will make, if I may, would love to be shown, even for 15/30 mins or so, the 'art' of shuffling/dealing a game properly!! Maybe a short workshop at a SPT, like Dave's excellent Omaha 'workshop'. Have found that in 'live' self-dealt games, a large variance in ability/quality of dealing, with me admittedly at the lower end!! Also could be included, common errors/faults by internet or new players in live situations, how to prevent this, and clarification if a prob occurs!
Many Thanks in advance, am sure people would be willing to cover any costs that may be incurred, even if its just a lunch & travelling for tutor/mentors!! [Seen other 'tutorials' at £50/100 a shot and above!!]
Just in case anyone is confused. Robbiesmum is my daughter. Robbie and Sophie are our dogs. No-one can remember my name but everyone on the street calls me 'Sophiesmum', hence the name.

I'm still keen to do this and reckon Tikay and any others assisting certainly shouldn't be out of pocket.
