    hi tikay can you find out any promos for hotels in glasgow and your preference of hotel near venue i think there are at least two very near maybe etap and premire?(lets hope it better than last suggested hotel) if it has a working toilet it would be an improvment.

    Hi Rich, I'm not Tikay but I am a human. There's one book I've seen which is pretty good (I think) which focuses on Hold 'Em Odds & Probabilities - check here

    Hi tkay i have been playin in a poker leaue in my local pub for the last 4 weeks and i have noticed when i put a raise in or go all in my hands starts to shake a little bit and other players have noticed this as well. My question is how do i carm my nerves down when playing poker?

    what will be my best chance of beating richard orford tonight? shall i upset him early be doing some enterprising plays or shall i let him feel as if he has got me then suddenly turn the tables and surprise him?

    Looking for info on cash games i.e. how rake and points works.Usually play mtt and stt, stt form ok mtt rubbish for weeks looking for a change.Thanks Jon.

    Hi all

    I'm new to skypoker and poker in general, I know the game and how to play ( I think :P ), and was wondering the best way to start up, ie what kinda games to play cash/tourny/free

    With the sky promo when i started up i got £2 to start with. Obviously I wanna start low stakes and build up.

    I so far have started on the 2/4p tables (cash) lost my 1st £1.60... So put a fiver on my account, went back to the 2/4p table and turned my next £1.60 into like £6-7, £4 profit at my 2nd attempt.. I'm aware this is probably very low amounts to most of you, but as said i'm just starting up and finding my feet.

    I have been looking for a bankroll management thread but cant seem to find one, if there is one can you point me in the right direction please.

    Can you have a look at this hand
    It was the first hand dealt in the 22£ bounty hunter today
    I managed to loose all my stack in the first hand. A bit of a tilt.
    What did I do wrong ?
    In my opinion I played that correct but...
    The hand is 252933339
    I'm on the button and get a nice AA
    1 limper so 50 in the pot.  I don't want to have to play against drawing cards
    so I raise to 6 or 7BB.  Small blind calls, big blind and limper fold
    flop opens with 6,7,10.  I don't put the villain on 8,9 after my preflop raise
    and as later became obvious, he didn't
    I think he checked.  Pot is around 300.  Since I did not like the board,
    I bet overbet 340 or so. He calls again. Ok that makes me think.
    Does he have a set, 2 pairs ?  I decide that I am better, I position him on AK or KQ
    turn is a K.
    I like this card. I think this has given him a top pair and decide to
    go for the lot.  He checks, I shove.  He calls
    Cards are turned, he places JT off suit !!!!  I don't understand his cals
    not preflop, not even on the flop (he has to know I'm playing a big hand, probably an overpair
    and certainly not on the turn.  However as you say often. Poker can be cruel
    and the river brings a J. End of tourney.
    Any advice or did I not make a fault there and just was playing an extremely
    lucky bad player ?

    Tikay, i have been playing on the site for for roughly a year now, and although I have improved as a player, I cant seem to get anywhere with my bankroll, could I send you my hand history from a 10p 20p table so you can pick up on where I am going wrong?     Hi Tikay (or anyone else for that matter),

    I had a PM from John asking me a poker related question. I thought instead of making a bodged job of answering i'd hand it over to the pro's who i'm sure can offer John some fantastic advice.

    anyway here is the question...

    "I was wondering i have been playing for a while now and i wanted to progress above the average poker player and play in some bigger games you got any tips on which one's i should start joining. Or maybe how i could go down the right path to becoming pro?"
