Forum Team Olympics Competition
As a bit of fun and friendly competition, I’m promoting an Olympic competition to be fought out between the forum teams. All existing teams welcome and positively encouraged to take part, anyone wishing to form new teams…… the more the merrier.
The basic concept will be that every day during the 2012 London Olympics where medals are awarded, there will be a single Sky Poker tournament to represent one of these events where Gold Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the highest finishing team representatives in each event.
It will be down to the individual teams to nominate their own representatives for each individual event via this forum thread only entries posted before the start of each event will be included. If a single representative from each team can take responsibility for organising and co-ordinating this within their own team it would be a massive help to me. The first Olympic medal will be awarded on Saturday 28th July with the last being awarded on Sunday 12th August. So in total the competition will be run over 16 days with 48 medals to be won.
In most cases I have tried to stick with events occurring on the same day in the real London 2012 Olympics, but have used artistic licence on 2 of the days to accommodate the Monday night DTD on 7th August. The events that will be included in the competition are:
July
28th – Archery
Hit the bullsye in the 20:50 £2.30 £500 Guaranteed Bounty Hunter (One representative per team)
29th – Swimming 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay
How deep can you run in the 19:00 £100 Guaranteed Freeroll? (4 representatives per team, medals awarded on cumulative scores)
30th – Diving
Take the plunge into the 16.55 £1.10 Omaha Hi Lo tournament (One representative per team)
31st – Artistic Gymnastics, Womens
Ladies only display their skills in the 20:15 £3.30 mini open (One representative per team, ladies only)
August
1st – Cycling Time Trial
Race against the clock in the 21:20 £5.50 £400 Guaranteed timed tournament (One representative per team)
2nd – Table Tennis
Ping pong your way through the 19:20 £4.40 £100 Guaranteed Head up shuffle tournament (One representative per team)
3rd – Badminton, Mixed Doubles
One male and one female from each team fight it out in the 20:15 £3.30 mini open (Two representative per team one male and one female)
4th – Rowing
A test of endurance in the 19:15 £2.20 £150 Guaranteed Deepstack (One representative per team)
5th – Athletics 100m Sprint
Superfast action in the 21:55 £5.50 £200 Guaranteed Velocity (One representative per team)
6th – Triathlon
Tackle three events in one in the Monday night DTD (3 representatives from each team, medals awarded on cumulative scores using the DTD scoring system)
7th – Track cycling, Sprint
Deep and speedy action in the 22:00 £11.00 £1K Guaranteed Thews at 10 tournament (One representative per team)
8th – Athletics, Hurdles
Overcome the daytime obstacles in the 13.45 £2.30 Bounty Hunter
9th – Beach Volleyball
Teams of two take on the 14:00 £3.30 £50 Guaranteed (Two representatives per team, medals awarded on cumulative scores)
10th – Open Water Swimming, 10km Marathon
A true test of endurance in the 19:10 £3.30 Orfordable Deepstack (One representative per team)
11th – Boxing
Trade blows with multiple opponents in the 20.45 £4.40 HU Shuffle (One representative per team)
12th – Athletics and final event, Marathon
Fight it out in the final event the 20:15 £5.50 Mini Primo (as it’s the last event 3 representatives per team, medals awarded on cumulative scores)
At the end of all this we will have 48 medal awarded and one team victorious at the top of the tables. Rankings will be calculated as follows, Gold medal = 6 points, Silver medal =3 points, Bronze medal = 1 point.
I'm happy to take multiple team enteries from the bigger teams ie. Team 51 / HitSquad (A & B teams for example). Likewise happy for individuals to play in multiple events for the smaller teams.
Ther is no requirement to play in all events, as long as you post in this thread you will be eligible for medals.

got your PM but can't reply as mozilla firefox still prevents it on skypoker.
team sky poker is not really happening right now. the last team was formed from the quarter 1 playoff winners and it was announced then that tsp would be on a break from quarter 2 until whenever.
it is reasonable to say that there will be no representation from tsp. a bit like USSR missing from the 1984 olympics in USA.
BTW this is a fantastic idea hope to play if selected.
