Hi all, a newbie here and had a great game this afternoon, good natured banter etc, i try make as many as can but work shifts and going to UK on Thurs then Lanzarote on sunday for a week but will try get a few in, had a great start winning but beginners luck I think, best of luck all, cheers

Cheers Woogie...thoroughly enjoyed that and we had a good laugh on our table, i feel, with some newbies too. I did expect you to tell them that they weren't allowed to cash though as i cash bubbled in 4th....curses!! Cya l8ter in DTD maybe....MrB is looking for your blood!

So glad people enjoyed a bit of banter, congratulations to RedRicky a new player to Sky Poker & not a bad way to start at all.

Make a change for MRBURNS4 to be after my blood Proffy he is usually only interested in my chips. Can't see how 2 hands was good practice for tonight but see you 7:15 for DTD1.

Good fun today congrats king and J3ono watched the last half hour thought i was gonna get epilepsy the cards moving so fast, great banter too, grinded it out as long as I could then buff caught me with a cracker, great experience, completed my objective of not making a eejit of myself after being so lucky yesterday, cheers all

Hi guys, looking frward to today, glad you joining in Blogs you played a cracker yesterday and were ul on ft. Could I get a bit of feedback here- I played the mini open last night, finished 17th, well chuffed,but, had a hand went like this big blind 1200 i had about 10 BB stack, had K 10 hearts, so bet 2400, small blind went all in 13k so i thought sod it decend cards suited went all in, he showed J spades A hearts, no biggy and i thought luck of flop but i was suited, flop Qhearts 9 clubs 6 spades, then turn 2 hearts, so i have flush draw, straight etc so have a chance, river was K diamonds so i win with pair of kings, opo starts giving me grief in chat box telling me to learn how to play the game properly and other stuff, i actually apologised, but I thought later I was entitled to go all in in that situation I was short stacked first decent cards for a while i will take my chance, if he had hit a card and won i would have congrated him, annoyed me a little, maybe i was wrong to call the all in but ??????

Hi Ricky, welcome to the forum.

This should really be in the poker clinic where you could get better feed back, but FWIW, you didnt do anything wrong at all. Maybe shove all in pre flop (AIPF) 1st though if you were going to go with the hand anyway out of that stack. Standard flip at that stage of the tourney. Ignore the chat box bitterness....some folk can not take losing a hand sometimes.

Congrats on 17th BTW. Good luck in this league too.

tbh ricky if u have 10 big blind and k 10 best to ship em in this way u dont price people in calling on any 2 cards and getting lucky against u id say 15 bigs or less is all in or fold

Dont worry m8 you soon get the hang of the jargon, hope you watch ch861 on sky or the webstream as I found it a big help when I started.

mtt = multi table tournament ie the Afternoon League.

DTD = the abbreviation of 3 tournaments held on every monday night that form a competition.

Hope you have also looked at the Team pages on here, with a view to joining one. Again I found that adds to my enjoyment of poker on Sky.
