NOW, NOW...don't be winning the inaugural afternoon league please.......there should be a rule against it! HA!( Or have i got to persuade my girlfriend to let me play the weekend?). I'm blaming you Mike!!!

Another great afternoons poker saw the ever consistent profman15 storm to the top of the leaderboard & yes after my 2nd final table in consecutive days it  means I am not challenging MRBURNS4 in the race for the wooden spoon, but horror of horror's I am in a position to actually win it (More chance of hell freezing over) there are still quite a few people in with a chance of claiming the prize.

When I 1st floated the idea to some of the regulars in the 2:20 deep stack they said that they had never seen over 30 runners, today we had 46 players, so thanks to all of you who are making this so much fun. The banter & the rail is brilliant.

For those that would like to play in future weeks, please keep posting your names on the thread, as anybody who has registered & played at least once will automatically be registered into the following weeks league.

Certainly had my eyes glancing at other tables yesterday. If 'consistent' means 'cashless' then i'm your man!!! FUN is the watchword though, eh?
Thoroughly enjoyed the week with good amosphere round the table. It's certainly good practice as maniacs tend to get their come uppence in this type of tournament.
 Sue is being very understanding about me playing today though yesterday she harangued me for not calling on button w/ T8o once and flop would have given me straight!!!! I hung my my head in shame!!!!

With enough support & this week has been great, I would love to see this become a permanent thing.

Like  I have said I found it a really good way to get used to playing on Sky poker & meeting  the players, that I hope a lot more of the new players give it a try.

I appreciate that most people cant commit to playing all 7 days, but it would be good if people registered even though they may only make 3/4 days you never know.

Well the dust has settled on the 1st week of the Afternoon league, and congratulations to DTWBANDIT who wins the £11 seat into next Sunday's Superstack.

As Scouse_red has already said Profman15, jjjach & *cough* Woggie8688 ran him close and ensured a fabulous & really tense final stages. Congratulations to all those who cashed today, but thanks to everyone who took part this week & those unable to play but supplied a fantastic rail.

Look forward to seeing everyone for week 2 starting tomorrow. Thats going to be one tough act to follow.
