hi there can i join in? am i too late? Posted by concon12
No of course you are not too late:- Though I would have thought you would be awarded an MTT seat for the value of £55, probably for a bounty hunter as the primo doesn't exist anymore.
no i didnt mean it like that slipwater, i just ment like is there a small reward if someone does complete it? is this fun and enjoyable? Posted by concon12
Fun is relative. It's poker (in varying degrees of competency). It's certainly no fun having to go all the way back to the start when you're at Level 7 because someone hit their miracle river card, but hey ho
The challenge is certainly a lot harder than people think.
so i dont get anything if i get to level 12? whats the rewards on this? Posted by concon12
Hi Concon
welcome to the challenge
if you do go all the way, not only will you have turned 60p into £280 in only 12 games, but you also get a free seat in a £55 buy in tourney, as per Gary's comment.
you ask if its fun, for me the answer is a resounding yes.....I normally play small stake games - my next game is at level six for an eleven quid buy in, and even if I lose I have only lost 80p - see the OP. Its also good for my game as if I can get to this level on a regular basis I can start upping the tourneys I enter.
best of luck with this, see you on the tables
regards

ps - slipwater, that's gotta smart but well done for getting to level 7
I usually frequent Levels 1 & 2 (60p, £1.15) and have today won both..Would it affect the status of this challenge if I was to continue playing these and then later register for a £2.20 to continue on with this, or do I now need to register for the £2.20 level as my very NEXT DYM in order to play this challenge, thus playing them all in sequence, "one after T'other"

In Response to Re: DYM Laddering Challenge --- Turn 60p into £200 --- 3x £55 Primo Seats!! --- 231 Runners So Far! === : It must be a sequential run. Posted by Slipwater
Not so, Slip. If the game you play isn't the next level it doesn't count.
From the OP:
================================================================================ I would just like to add a note here about a question I've been asked a few times so far as to whether people who normally play DYMs outside of this competition can continue to play them as normal and here are my thoughts...
Basically, there's alot of people who play DYMs regularly and I don't think this challenge should affect them being able to play. It would also give the reserve effect that Sky would want, by making people play less DYMs than normal.
The way I see it is, you have only failed if you play the relevant level and lose that game. So if you're up to the 60p game, then playing and losing a £5.50 DYM is no different from going and playing an MTT (it's unrelated to the challenge).
So if you regularly play the £3.30 games, then all that matters is when you've won the £2.20 game, the next time you play a £3.30 you'll need to win it. Once you've done that you can lose 50 £3.30s in a row if ya like, because the next game for you (relevant to the challenge) is £5.50.

Start at 60p level and work your way up.
Maybe you should try it before you moan about rewards.
Besides, the money should be reward enough.
The challenge is certainly a lot harder than people think.
