Why I feel like quitting sometimes. In a tourny at same time as these cash hands I get it in 3 times with huge draws and miss, then for my tourny life get it with top pair against a draw and they hit.

I cant seem to fade runner runners and suck outs. I'm wondering when I'm supposed to make money from bad calls. Sorry for the moan but no where else to vent. Maybe im just not good enough.

    Hi Craig,

Going through a similar NL10 journey to you, I definitely share you frustration at the inequality of the bad beats.

I guess the micro / low levels accentuate the inequality of it due to the relatively low percentage of bluffing in the game of a solid player (like yourself).  That in turn means you are rarely getting your money in with next to no equity and giving yourself the chance to suckout on someone (not that you want to be in that position!).

Similarly, many weaker players are often betting light / not betting their bigger hands for fear of not getting paid (as opposed to a solid player that is trying to shovel the chips in at the earliest opportunity), which in turn gives you the chance to suckout in a less obvious fashion - ie you get to see the runner-runner cards free/quite cheaply, then take the betting lead to get it in on the river - which in turn doesn't really tell your brain that you sucked out (because you only puts chips in when ahead on the river).

Obviously it'll never be enjoyable, but maybe taking the mindset that you are only seeing the inequality from being a better player (ie you WILL win in the long run) can help to make the frustration more manageable?

Thanks Skark, a lot of what you said makes sense and I will remember that. A big thanks to Larson7 as well. Went through a few of his hands tonight and talked a little, that helped a bit. He will hopefully be watching some of my play on Wednesday to try and help so I look forward to that.

This weekend hasnt been a great one. Did get a 9th played finish in a £2BH even though three times I got sucked out on for big, big pots. And then had a little winning cash session. This morning went horribly as you can see by my above post.

Going to just stick to 10nl and not move up at all for the time being and see what happens, surely this run cant keep going. I know im playing fine.

Good luck with this. Haven't come across you on MC tables when i've played too often but from forum presence i think you'll achieve this with ease
