Michael Skudder has chipped up to about 13k from the starting stack of 10. The last time I walked past the boys on Table 71 they were betting into each other. No love lost there.
Not directly related to the Sky players, but Barry Hutter who earlier won the $1500 Shootout, started playing 3-handed with the other 4 registered players not yet turned up, then busted one of his two opponents so he has doubled up and is now effectively playing heads-up early on Day 1.
In Response to Re: Viva Las Vegas - let's go. News, updates & goss about our qualifiers. : Not that we can see, though Neil Channing has James Woods on his table. I think he's an actor bloke. Posted by Tikay10
And then from the WSOP updates, also Allyn Shulman, as Woods has just doubled through her.
Tim Davie also playing today, I presume he is still a Sky player (without the live shows I've lost touch of who is playing the rollers etc. these days). Roberto Romanello & James Dempsey also listed with the Union Flag on the chip count listings
So the day continues and we are about to pass 2000 entries for flight A. With Flight B starting at 4pm we could sail towards the 5000 runner mark.
Mr Channing speaking to the qualifiers earlier set the target for 40,000 chips to safely navigate day 1 here's hoping the qualifiers continue to build their stacks.
With 10 1 hour levels today there is still a long way to go
An interesting spot for Robert Cakans who is playing Day 1A. His daughter gets married at 7pm tonight here in Vegas, will he make it to the wedding or will he still be stacking his chips....

And here's the happy couple (+ an interloper) at 9.45 this morning.
As we near the end of Level 4, some chip counts incoming.
Sam has gone across to Palazzo to collect those who are playing Flight 1b (4pm Vegas, Midnight UK), so I'm briefly 2nd in charge here. Gawd help you all.

One more name.....
Robert Cakens, Brasilia Bronze, Table 51, Seat 4
This was 10 minutes before they started, we had a little meet in the Corridor, then Mr Ambo gave them a little pep talk.

I arrived at the table of Lee Rogers just as it all kicked off.
There was a K high flop, & chips were flying in all directions.
Eventually, Lee & Mr Anon got the lot in, on a K high flop.
Lee had the Aces.
Mr Anon had A-K.
Easy game.
Turn came a club, to give A-K the NFD......
River was.......
.....a red 2.
BOOMIO, full 2xUp.
Lee Rogers, 20,500.
Meanwhile, David Williams had an even bigger cheek flapper.
He had a 3 way coup, his K-K, v Q-Q, v NFD.
Hold please, hold.
It held, & he zooms up to 32,000.
Sad news, William Kerr is OUTO - or at least, I think that was what he said. It sucks to bust one of these early, it really does.
Mr Channing is on 6,700 after a recent 2xUp. He is co-habiting a table with James Woods & the most personable Allyn Shulman.
More chip counts follow......
Paul Wood 11,500. He is in a wheelchair, so what an effort to even get here. Good luck Paul, who having a ball.
Alan Shore 11,500
Ben Nuttall 5,500
Dave Maudlin 14,000
Nathan Thomas 9,625
Tim Rowland 6,800
A lot of tables have already broken, so it's a tough gig to find some of our guys, but I'll keep looking.
Neil Channing is up to 18,000 after quite an extraordinary coup, he had 10-10 v A-K, but it came A high. With a 10 on the jolly old river.
Level 5 starts shortly, Blinds will be 100-200 with a running 25.
If I recall correctly, he has 20,000, after his Aces held up v A-K on a K high flop.
