In Response to Re: The Road To Punta Cana : You may have met his best mate who qualified for Punta Cana last year, but I don't haver his name or alias to hand right now. Posted by Tikay10
interesting to find out his/her alias. i know those who went last year.
perizoma is a highly succesful player in the 12 months since i was there.
Not sure I should give his real name but he's good friends with Eizy, who was in PC last year and Vegas too. Two of the good guys. Posted by Donttelmum
That's the chap.
Elzy was due to come to Punta Cana this week as Niocola's +1,but he got stranded in Frankfurt due to fog & missed his connecting flight.
Elzy won a Vegas package in 2014, this year Nicola won one, & Elzy had a Punta Cana package in 2014.
Think there may be a Ladies Tournament this afternoon, the room seems to be full of young ladies wandering around. Or maybe they are just here to ogle me.
Meanwhile, JP was forced to do the Dunk Tank Challenge - & got dunked. Next, I volunteered to do it - & survived. Back to the update. Posted by Tikay10

Meanwhile, play commences in 5 minutes, but no sign of Nicola yet.

Play has commenced, Nicola is seated, seat 1, which is Small Blind, so that's almost the perfect seat as he gets a free orbit, minus SB & antes.
He looks quite the dude today, with a straw panama hat covering his dredlocks.
And we have first hand action.
The button is absent, & the deep-stacked cut-off makes it 35,000 to go @ 8,000-16,000/2,000.
Looks like a steal, right? The BB is short, too.
Nicola looks down at 8-8, & shoves, BB & cut off both fold like good children.
So that adds a decent chunk to his stack - 35,000 + 8,000 + 16,000 + 18,000 in Antes.
That buys him two clear orbits to find a spot.
Excellent start.
Exactly one orbit later, the cut off, who looks like Lord At It, min raises again into Nicola's SB.
Our man has 6h-4h & decides to peel.
The flop is K-J-3, all black.
That's a give up job, & he does.
Swiftly ignoring the above.......
No change for our man, still sitting quietly. Getting close to shove mode now, I guess.
Down to 165,000, things are getting desperate, we have 165,000.
He finds K-J, which looks good enough, in they go.
He quickly gets accommodated by 10-10.
Perfect.
Let's flip.
K-4-8-J-Q
= BOOMIO
Blinds go 10,000-20,000/2,000, & we have 330,000.
It's our BB, & short stack, playing 165,000, shoves on us.
We have A-7 & call.
Shover has A-5.
Just need to hold now. No chops please.
7-Q-J-10-2
oioi
So, with 33 left, & close to another ladder, we are ABOVE AVERAGE.
30 left, so we have laddered to $5,280.
The next ladder - to $6,180 - is 26th.
He has approx. 430,000.
Meanwhile, JP was forced to do the Dunk Tank Challenge - & got dunked.
Next, I volunteered to do it - & survived.
Back to the update.
28 left, we have 440,000. Average is 500,000.
20 minutes to the day's first break. Considering how many chips he returned with, that's a result.
1st break, we have 330,000.
Blinds go 12,000-24,000/3,000 after the break.
26 left, so that's another ladder, to $6,105.
The next ladder is 23rd place.
