In Response to Re: Sky Poker £1m GTD UKPC Final Day : Thanks Tikay. Great to meet you properly this time, instead of a passing quick hello in the 'little boys' room..... and what a GREAT job you and the team are doing....And for anyone who thinks that SKY Poker hands don't happen in real LIVE play.....just read all the hand updates on here Posted by MISTY4ME
Great updates Mr K, me and the little one had planned on popping down this weekend, but I am sat here with the quilt wrapped around me, coughing and sneezing, drinking hot Ribena, with a box of mansize tissues and a bottle of cough medicine by my side.

Colin, with the A-K, popped it up, & got looked up by the 7-4, ("my favourite hand") as you do.
The 7-7-6 flop was bad news, as Colin was barrelling.
The 4 turn was even worse, & just when you think things can't get worse, Colin became a non-believer, & pulled out his trusty 3 bet.
That left him with 100,000 - which is exactly ONE Big Blind, minus a 15,000 Ante.
He's pretty disappointed, naturally. I give him some serious gip on here, which I only do with really good friends & people I respect immensely, so I'm genuinely disappointed for The Big Man.

Joe Ellis, who works up at SB&G, just took a big hit with a dominated ace, & is real short now.

Stu Fox exits, leaving just 20 runners.
This is playing very fast, we only began at 1pm, & by 3.30, we have lost 14 of the 34 players.
I daresay it will tighten up soon, & even more so as it nears the Final Table.
In a bad piece of timing, I went to have a look just as a hand played out.
Our intrepid EM made it 200k, & Mr Shortie, playing 550k, shoved. EM made the obligatory call with 6-6, & found he was in bad shape v 9-9.
EM said "NH, I hoped I was against A-K or similar". Well even that would have been bad, as the Board ran out K-K-2-2-A.
That leaves EM with some 1.7 milly. Sounds a lot, but blinds are a stonking 50,000-100,000/15,000.
To make it worse, 19 remain, so they are playing short-handed, 6-6-7, so those Blinds & Antes come round pdq.
He knows what to do, & he'll not blind away, for sure.
