Event 23 Down to 42, still no mention (good or bad) of our man, but at least he's still alive and kicking.
Event 25 Progress here as our man Taylor has bust Jesse Chinni to reduce the field to 10 and leave us with the unofficial FT. The whole field has concertina-d with Sharaskin no longer the chip leader after losing a number of chunky pots, most of which were won by Tyler Groth who replaced him as the big dog but has himself since being replaced on top by Allan Le.
Sorry folks, no Sky Poker player bracelet to report.
Event 23 - $2620 The Marathon (100 minute levels), Day 4 of 5, 1759 entries Michael Kane was eventually busted in 36th spot (just after a pay jump) for $17491 when his pocket Kings were in good shape pre-flop against Josh Weiss and his AK, but an Ace on the flop was the end of the lengthy run for the man from Glasgow.
Maurice Hawkins is still up among the leaders, but has surrendered the chip lead to Tim Reilly, a bit part of that swing coming in a hand when Hawkins' moved all in with Aces Full but Reilly had the easiest call he will ever make as he held a Royal Flush.
Currently 17 players are still involved, with Pratik Ghatge the only UK player amongst them
Event 25 - $1K PLO, Day 3 of 3, 1058 entrants Event 25 finished and the bracelet in in the hands of Tyler Groth from Iowa. The first-time bracelet winner started the final day stong and finished it equally strong to claim the title and the $179K first prize.
Jonathan Zarin was the losing heads up player and Allan Le was third.
"Our" Darren Taylor finished a memorable tournament in 4th, with the $56K a very nice payday. He went out holding an underset to Le, who unfortunately also held the blocker to prevent Taylor getting quads.
Event 26 - $10K 7 Card Razz Championship, Day 2 of 3, 97 entries James Obst has only been playing at the WSOP since 2014, but in that time he's made 6 final tables and twice finishing runner-up, most recently in Event 7 a few days ago.
This time, the Aussie converted to bring him his first bracelet and $265K, despite entering heads-up play against Eric Kurtzman wiah a 3:1 chip deficit. It takes him to second in the WSOP Player of the Year rankings trailing just Pablo Mariz.
David "ODB" Baker finihed 3rd, Brandon Shack-Harris 6th and Nick Schulman 9th.
Event 27 - $3K NLH 6-Max, Day 2 of 3, 959 entrants At the final break of Day 2 (so 2 levels still to play) and we have a British chip leader. Londoner Max Silver is the man, and has virtually double his nearest challenger.
Chris Moorman is still there too, in 10th spot of the 24 survivors.
Sam Grafton went out in 106th for $4789 and Tom "Middy" Middleton 39th for a little under ten thousand dollars.
Event 28 - $1500 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball (Limit), Day 2 of 3, 326 entrants Getting down to the business end with just nine players left, unfortunately Stuart Rutter isn't amongst them as he went out shortly before the bubble.
By far the biggest name still involved is one of the Mizrachi brothers, Robert.
Event 29 - $2500 NLH, Day 1 of 3, 1086 entrats Day 1 has just ended with preliminary indications showing 239 survivors led by Spain's Pablo Fernandez, but more information will become availble later.
Event 30 - $10K HORSE Championship, Day 1 of 3, 150 entrants Still in play (and late reg has only just closed) but numbers are down here, 21 from last years field. 23 will get paid so we are a long way from the bubble but names mentioned in recent updates include Stephen Chidwick and Adam Owen from the UK, Daniel Negreanu, Maria Ho, Michael Mizrachi, reigning champion Jason Mercier, and unsurpisingly Event 26 winner James Obst who was runner-up in this event 12 months ago.
To start today Event 31 - $1K Seniors NLH, 3 Day Event Event 32 - $1500 Mixed PLO 8, Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better & Big O, 3 Day Event plus another starting day of The Giant (Event 19)
In Response to Re: The WSOP 2017 Thread : Morning Cheezy, I might play Event 32, later today, yes. Or, if I can prove I am eligible (not easy) I might even play Event 31. Posted by Tikay10
Updates Event 23 Thirteen players make it to the latter stages of the marathon (think they're just about on The Embankment now) with a player from Venezuela, Joseph Di Rosa Rojas who has the only stack in 8-figure territory.
Tim Reilly and Andrew Jernigan are second and third ahead of Maurice Hawkins and Faraz Jaka who've been up there since very early on.
Pratik Ghatge is the only GB player left and he has the only stack in 6-figures, so he needs some doubling up fairly quick when play restarts.
Event 27 Still very good chanes of a British bracelet in Event 27. Quite appropriate in the 6-Max that is it is Max who is the leader, Londoner Max Silver who leads the player so good they almost named him twice, Morten Mortensen.
And Silver is not the only Brit in good shape amongst the 21 players left, for the beast that is Chris Moorman sits 4th overnight.
Event 28 The FT has been reached with the only previous bracelet winner still in the field, Brendan Taylor as the chip leader.
Low-ball specalist (and German international footballer) Max Kruse is close behind with Brian Brubaker third.
Event 29 The preliminary indication of 239 qualifiers proved to be correct, so we need 66 more bustouts to make the money.
It's one of the numerous Spaniards resident in London, Pablo Fernandez Campo, who holds the Day 1 chip lead, and with Sadan Turker 7th and Niall Murray 8th, Union Jacks pepper the upper reaches of the chip listings.
Ooh, and don't forget Joel Ettedgi 11th, Sam Trickett 28th, Raul Martinez 29th and Romain Lewis 43rd and that's just listing those in the top 50.
Event 30 It's reigning champion Jason Mercier who holds the lead in the 10K Horse, where 57 players held on through day 1.
Plenty of other big names through - Daniel Negreanu (of course), Phil Hellmuth, Mike Sexton, Maria Ho, Brandon Shack-Harris...
A couple of the usual GB names in tournaments like this, Benny Glaser and Stephen Chidwick are through, the latter having a dangerously short stack but Richard Ashby and Adam Owen were among the Day 1 casualties.
I am playing the $1,500 PLO8//O8//Big O mix, and doubled up after 5 minutes, so may actually have been chip leader briefly. As in, very briefly...... Posted by Tikay10

Could use a table move. Got Allen Kessler to my immediate right, and to his immediate right is Mike Leah. At least I have position, but they are a proper handful.
Don't think you'll get much interaction on here for a few hours. It's just gone 4am and I'm told we are looking at temperatures about 30 degrees today in the U.K.
We just had the last break of the day, and two more levels of play remain in day one. I have 16,500, which is just above average. 332 of the original 688 players remain. Posted by Tikay10
that's great. you need only to be "just above average" throughout.

I find it difficult to believe that you even played a hand in the first 5 minutes, surely you had nut, nut to be that adventurous or is the heat outside getting to you?

Good effort Tikay,
I know you've said your rehab has gone well, but 10 hours plus in the poker saddle is a fair bit. I guess it depends a lot on how "fun" the tables are, but how has it gone?
Event 23 - $2620 The Marathon (100 minute levels), Day 5 of 5, 1759 entries The Venezuelan flag was much in evidence as Joseph Di Rosa Rojas claimed the first ever bracelet for the South American country.
Rojas also collected over $620K as he entered heads-up play against Alexander Lynskey with about a 5:1 chip lead and not much changed until the very end when Rojas' pocket tens had some help with a paired board to finish off Lynskey.
Third was Jeffrey Tomlinson, Faraz Jaka ended in 6th and Maurice Hawkins, long time leader, was the first player knocked-out from the FT.
Last Brit was Pratik Ghatge, who came in 8th with a very nice $70K for his five days work.
Event 27 - $3K NLH 6-Max, Day 3 of 3, 959 entrants Bang up to date news - a couple of minutes ago we had the final hand and it is a BritishBraceletAlert!
A marathon heads up duel between Chris Moorman and Bernando Dias after the rest of the final table was finished pretty quickly, with the Brit getting the better of it after his AK dominated Dias' K10 and the better hand held.
Moorman takes close to half a million dollars, Dias $308K
Max Silver was the first player to leave the final table, his 6th place earning him $73K
Event 28 - $1500 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball (Limit), Day 3 of 3, 326 entrants Done and dusted with Brian Brubaker coming out on top after a swingy two-hour long heads up battle with Brendan Taylor.
German football star Max Kruse and his very vocal (British-like?) rail ended the day in 4th spot
Event 29 - $2500 NLH, Day 2 of 3, 1086 entrants Just 30 players move on to Day 3 with just one player having a million chip in his bag - Eddy Sabat.
Asi Moshe and Tom Thomas are second and third. The British presence is still strong, Scott Margereson and Chi Zhang inside he top 10, plus Sadan Turker and Raul Martinez Requena further down.
Event 30 - $10K HORSE Championship, Day 2 of 3, 150 entrants Still in play with exactly 10% of the field left.
Stephen Chidwick has recently been knocked out for the min cash of $15K, but of those left, there are several well-known names including current chip leader Daniel Negreanu and reigning champion Jason Mercier
Event 31 - $1K Seniors NLH, Day 1 of 3, 5389 entries A single re-entry in the first 6 levels has enabled the Seniors field to beat last year's total quite easily.
Reigning champion Johnnie Craig bagged chips, as did former ME winner Greg Raymer and last year's November Niner Cliff Josephy, but is Kevin Dowling who holds the Day 1 chip lead.
You have to look a long way down the list of 690 or so survivors to find a player tagged with "GB" and we find David Rawnsley in 131st place. After him Martin Wilson, Anthony Marks, Ronald Lawton, Shukri Mushawar, Kenneth Broad, Barny Boatman, David Wood, Guy Bowles, and Gary Fisher all bagged stacks of descending size at the end of the night.
Event 32 - $1500 Mixed PLO 8, Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better & Big O, Day 1 of 3 Tikay has been keeping you up to date with his tournament, they're very close to the end of play (maybe it has just finished) and a full picture will become clear soon.
Three big stacks do seem have emerged - Igor Sharaskin, Daniel Zack and Allen "Chainsaw" Kessler (the latter from Tikay's table)
Event 19 - $365 The GIANT, Day 1B Still in play, with just a few hands left. 140 or so players left, full update to follow when reports become available.
To start today Event 33 - $1500 NLH, 3 Day Event Event 34 - $10K 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball (Limit) Championship, 3 Day Event
