Just 4 Units left after leg 3, rollover looks very likely.

    Thanks for the above Dolly.

Well guys, there is a rollover of £7,060 to tomorrow's card at Sandown (The jumps finale where Richard Johnson will be crowned champion jockey)

With the exception of the mighty Altior, in the 3.00PM, it looks a very tough card and I am hopeful of a rollover.

If that is the case, it would be interesting to see what happens on Sunday!

Hopefully not too long now, as the anticipated go-live approaches.

    GL all!

    Cheers,

    G

    It's a roll over.

    £10,309 carried over to tomorrow.

Hopefully to Thirsk, as that looks the toughest card.

Will me an interesting watch tomorrow.

If it rolls over again we could be going for it as soon as Monday (Race card dependant)

    Cheers,

    G

Does anyone know if the Jackpot is at Thirsk or Salisbury tomorrow? (Sunday)

I can't seem to see anything yet.

In the likely event of a rollover at Thirsk.

This is my position on whether we do the Jackpot on Monday depending on where it is:

    BATH (Probably would do it)
BEVERLEY (Definitely not, card too tough)
    KEMPTON (Probably would do it)
    WARWICK (Probably would do it)
WINDSOR (Possibly but doubtful, quite a tough card)

In all likelihood it will go to BEVERLEY or WINDSOR, and the team should be able to stand down for tonight, if that is the case. MK if could please update this thread if it rolls over and you know which meeting it is on Monday.

    Cheers,

    G

TBH it's not much of a rollover, (assuming it does rollover), thought it would be more, so I don't think we'll be going for it tomorrow no matter where it is.

For clarification, we will NOT be going for it tomorrow, regardless of meeting, the rollover is too small.

Hi guys. I have a question/proposition for you.

In some fairly rare scenarios it may be worth doing the Jackpot when there is NO Rollover.

I have listed the scenarios when I feel this is the case below:

    1) There is a minimum of £10K Guarantee
    2) There will probably only be £2K ish in the actual pool.
    3) The card has at least two races with hot favourites in and no more than two wide open races.

    Advantages:

    1) We'd have a fair to middling chance of getting the Jackpot.
    2) With only £2K ish in the actual pool, unless all fancied horses win, a reasonable chance of being the only winner.
    3) If we were to get the Jackpot it would be likely to pay better than the SP accumulator.
    4) We perhaps would not need to wait so long for a big guarantee to occur.

    Disadvantages:

    1) Pretty much the most we could expect to win is £5K (A 50p share of the guarantee)
    2) If we lose, it's using funds that could potentially be used when there is a bigger prize pool.

So I was going to put it to a vote.

    Do we attempt these scenarios?

Please can syndicate members vote, YES, NO or DON'T MIND accordingly.

It's YOUR syndicate, so please have your say!

    Cheers,

i vote yes but only if the racecard suits as you have stated. for me a smaller bet. say 300 to 350 lines. @50p so could get 2 of these and 1 rollover a month if we are lucky

    Thx for the feedback Micky.

Yes I was thinking about a perm that size on average, although I wouldn't want to tie myself down that tightly, as to a degree the card will determine the perm size.

I would say it could be anything from 180 lines to 550 lines at 50p per line, but above 400 lines would be rare.

    Cheers,

    G

As long as there is itv coverage!

    edited May 2017

Hi Wynne, I think most the time we do the Jackpot there will NOT be ITV coverage, as it will largely be midweek at small meetings, when it is more achievable. That's the same if there is a rollover or not.

However, as I am sure you know, you can watch the live stream on most betting sites if you put 50p or £1 on the race.

Alternatively you can log on to sportinglife.com for free with your SkyPoker userid and watch a video of the race replay about 20mins after the race.

    Cheers,

    G
