    Smiler....How many more times are you going to dog me off on this thread? A veiled little insult here and a sneaky little comment there. I didn't realise that we were commenting on your life story mate. You should have said in the first place. Agree with my opinion or you are a blinkered stereotyping ignoramus.

    Truth is that your story is different to mine that is different to nutters that is different to whoevers. It is easy to have a bit of a go at me but you asked should we spend our money on rehabilitating youths not a youth so how could i answer without lumping youth crime as a whole together? For every young life that is saved through the work that you do you should be commended and have a lot of job satisfaction i imagine, seen as how you had problems your self.

    I grew up in my teens watching many of my mates end up dead or in jail. I was connected with drug dealers, murderers, vandals, robbers, burglars, arsonists, football hooligans and muggers. My brother was constantly in prison while my other brother owned a large solicitors firm and was a specialist in criminal law.

    As you can imagine it was hard for me to be one thing or the other but you have no clue where i have trodden and how i changed my life for the better.

    I posted my comments on what i thought of youth crime today in 2010. It is my opinion as yours is yours.

    You said that you could have a big argument with me but you will rise above it.....trying to belittle me again.

    Your apology meant nothing to me as you insinuated and manipulated it for your own ends and to make yourself appear nice while still being a bit nasty.

    Perhaps this will always be you and you can't shake off all of your spots.
    As i will probably never completely shake off mine. We all are what we were to a tiny extent, even if just in the mind. No matter how we end up, life will try to put us back occasionally.

    You are right and so is nutter that some kids just need to be shown another way and just be told or reassured that there is an alternative to what they do and that they are worth it. I think your work is brilliant and important so keep it up and do em proud.

    NO Thanks OR praise eeded for the job I do, I do it for free, for a reason...cos I love my job, and i love the fact that the hardest to reach young people can chage so quickly ( sometimes it seems to take a lifetime thogh LOL)
    So i dont want or need thanks for doing my job, but I do appreciate that you see that I am just TRYING to make a difference... ok I agree, not all yp will change, but some do and the ones that do are the ones I work so hard with, BUT the ones that dont, well its heartbreaking to make that concious decission to walk away and say that they just dont want help.... ( hardest thing ever to be honest!)

Its a normal bodily function you know---everyone has got one, and everyone's need routine maintenance to keep it in good condition, and we don't need people coming on here trying to make us feel guilty and inadequate just because we have the odd one now and again, that does no-one any harm at all !!!!-----OK!!!

    Seems NOT many folk get the line/angle i come from in my posts....

    ok, now I REEEEAAALLLY dont wanna do any more study time....

    so heres a little ditty I worte while TRYING to focus early on today LOL
    Wrote on my other thread about being distracted by poker when trying to do my dissertation research and essays work etc etc ....lol

    Well summer break is nearing
    The work is all due in
    But there is an exam im fearing
    but cant let the nerves win
    I need to pass all modules
    and pass em with good marks,
    to go into my 3rd year
    and finish with a 2.1. pass

    But all the work keeps building
    as i type on this here thread
    My hubby has been supportive, and broke it all in chunks
    But I still lay there worrying, at night when laid in bed
    "Will i be the ONLY one to fail,
    will i be left with this haunting me, 
    will it make me old, tired and frail?"

    But now I see what's needed,
    To tackle it all head on.
    do it all in little bit
    do it one step at a time
    and IM ASSURED that ALL will be just fine.....

    It will all be over soon, and i'll have my Degree in hand
    with a name scribbled onto the bottom
    AND that name,....... it will be MINE.....

     Perhaps i might have got a bit exited. The only thing that bugged me a bit is that we were asked very specifically for our opinion as part of research into collecting different points of view and mine got a bit misconstrued and lashed a bit.

    I don't have a problem and i think that i am right every bit as much as you do. So be reet.

    I honestly did not want you to apologise to me lol, but thank you for it. Lets just please forget it.

    For what its worth i think the rehabilitation of prisoners or criminals of any kind is of paramount importance to them and the public. We should be very careful on exactly how much public money is spent on this and how it is best spent. If the results show that a certain scheme works and reduces re-offending even in 10% of cases, that would be more that good enough for me to not only be glad that taxpayers money was spent on it, but insistent that it is.

    Its been emotional lol

    LOL-- I was just havin a laugh with the pair of ya mate, trying to lighten the mood really. As you say, we are all entitled to an opinion, but it's a shame when a simple misunderstanding stops anyone feeling free to express it.

     It is all opinions that Debbie was looking for, and I'm sure none of her posts were designed to disrespect yours, so just a misunderstanding, thats all.

     Thats the main reason I decided to illustrate how easy it is to grab the wrong end of the stick and end up looking like a nutter or something---lol---woops---I'm not saying you looked like a nutter, I'm the floppin nutter on this site!!--so watch it right!!!----Lifes too short to let these things get to us---I did'nt say anything when you called me a nutter did I? no!--Because I just love the recognition, I'm a floppin NUTTER I tell you!!!

    HAHAHAHAHA  ALL done now, well one of the eight essays that are needed by end of term ( 5/5/10) SO nyah nyah nyah LOL
    Hubby dropped me of at Uni yesterday at 10 am, and picked me up again 12 hours later, so lots of study was done after all, OK I need to think about doing as DOHHHHHHH said and start a new thread.... do i go all deep agai, and start a debate or should i allow myself to have a rant at stuff,life and ,..well anything at all? Time will tell no doubt

    so keep your eyes peeled for what I DARE to bring here next.....

    STILL will add to this one as I need to get facts/figs on now... and then throw a cat among the pigeons etc to see who reples with what..... OOOOH I LUFF a good debate LOL
