Ok ,had a great run last night in the 500 bh,would love to post the all ins,that i won,there was quite a few,managed to sneak into 2nd before i pushed with 8 bb with 22...called by q10 ....10 on flop and 36 points were mine....maybe the terrible bad luck streak has come to an end,maybe this thread is over,maybe the font in the new download app.is to small and a bit blurred,but thats just me..........

I put my account on bar for 6 months because i thought skypoker woz corrupt..... i started playing on anohter site and relised that it wernt the site that woz corrupt, its just poker, and that the amount of hands that get played online, there bound to be bad beats and bad runs Sky Poker Is Not Corrupt And People Should Lok At There Game Play B4 Blaming The System!!! Dont get me wrong ive had a few bad beats but thats the way it goes, over time if you do the rite thing ur hands will hold up, this does not mean you are goin to win tournaments because it takes more than one race to win Just hope this helps people because i came back to skypoker because i needed help with my play and that woz they are here to do Adder :-)

The logical thing to do is to track all your preflop all-ins and to see if you are winning the correct proportion over the long term.

I have been doing this for about 8 different sites for quite a while now. With some I am finding that the actual meanders around the expected and, in spite of ones feelings to the contrary, things do average out about right.

With one major site I am 1.7 sd left of the mean and as a result I took my money out of there and only play freerolls now. Note that this does not mean that the site is 'rigged' or anything. It could either be as a result of cheating or else just incredibly bad luck.

I suspect that I am running way below expectation on Sky too, but of course I cannot verify this because you cannot get the hand-histories to analyse. So anyway I only play freerols here now, and some low stakes STT and MTT with what I make from the FR's. I actually quite like the challenge of building a BR from absolutely nothing and, if nothing else, you are guaranteed to have a positive ROI. I have found that FR's are actually quite easy to cash in if you just play your normal game instead of going mental like everyone else.

When i 1st registared (just a couple of months ago) i had trouble recieving the points, now i can't get into 'my account' just to check it or deposit. I've been in touch with customer care and live chat 3 times and each tell me there is no problem with 'my account' (well clearly there is) i've been told to do all these downloads which i feel is affecting other usage of my computer. I am wandering if it's not better to uninstall all this and go and play poker elsewhere.

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing problems here.

I have a couple of things I can suggest here:

Firstly, try deleting your cookies and temporary internet files on your computer (Tools-Internet Options-Delete Browsing History/Cookies etc)

If that doesn't work, try switching to Mozilla Firefox as your Internet Browser, we find that is best for Sky Poker.

Finally, have you tried using the new Sky Poker Download? You can download it here

If none of these work, or you have already done these, I would advise you to follow the instructions in this thread

The reason people leave sky poker, just like ANY of the other poker sites is because :- When they lose money - they blame everything/everyone else except themselves (thats called human nature), its the software, its playing against donks, its a fix, the list is endless. Apart from three factors we all have an equal chance of winning - 1) the players skill level, 2)the players mental attitude to downswings, and 3) luck Its how we adapt our play to the first one, change our mindset to the second one, and how we must realise that no matter how good your hole cards are, your never really that far away from getting beat, thats what players forget, they think if they get QQ,KK,AA,AK they are going to win a pot load of money, but as we know (and if you dont, you had better learn fast) that just isn't the case.  The best bit of advice i can give is - always play with the attitude that if you lose your buy in it doesnt matter, if it does, then you are playing beyond your means and thats when losses hurt, and most importantly of all - play for enjoyment, if you aint enjoying it, then dont play.
