I've enjoyed reading this thread. can't believe it's gone on so longand that you've not left Sky yet. lol

Was playing a live event on Monday and got AA in the hole. Blinds were 200/400 I raised to 1600 and was called by pocket 4's flop comes A44 He bets 2k I raise to 6k he shoves I call rag/rag. Out on my a***. I would have complained that the dealer was crooked or had a deck of 4's up his sleeve and that I would never play poker there again but it would have been to no avail as I was the dealer. In the last 6 live tourneys Ive played AA has cost me my seat losing to QQ(set) K3(set of 3's) KQus(staight) Ad9d(flush) Jh10h(2pair) and the 44 the other night. My luck has been minging lately but I tend to find I go through periods when my luck is really hot and I win all the races and get deep or win tourneys I take all the credit for the wins and then it goes cold I want to blame outside influences. Poker has changed dramatically over the last 5/6years people want to gamble more and you actually hear people saying they know they're behind but they call anyway. You just can't compensate for that type of behaviour it's just part of todays game.
Check your bankroll regularly check your betting strategy is fit for todays game (Hellmuth is a classic example of someone who hasn't moved with the times)Good luck Toby and thanks for the entertainment

aceaphobic won £8.77 with a Flush to the Ace

this is just another example of bad beats. Been off work and trying to cheer myself up playing on sky. But I've had aces beat twice amongst a string of bad beats all day culminating in the above where I've gone all in on the flop with kings, been called by a pair of nines and "sky" has given  turn and river hearts for a flush ? This is the limit for me as I shouldn't have been called in the first place.
