Ed Question:  What is the most number of days Ed has spent at home without leaving the house.

    I'd guess 21.

Re Folding the tens.  Always a bad fold no matter if I was ahead or behind bearing in mind the situation and player involved.  TBH just a bit frazzled at the time, stood very shortly after the hand on all tables to have a break, felt my game was going a little wobbly so banked a decent winning session.

Something i think is over-rated is Rich Orfords attention to detail,he replied on the forum to my over-rated post about Johnny Vegas as "a good start Spike" and then never read it out.It was the first post to this thread and he replied at 5.59

Seriously guys a great show tonight Tommy D's fold with the queens was awesome.

Re stalking, come on Ed, what is his name?

  • edited March 2011
    Rich,
Why don't you show a repeat of your hand, stuck in the desk?
  • edited March 2011

For the top five hands, could you not do a spread betting think AKA Brucie on Play you cards right.

Hand 1 - Rich says 500, Ed says 600.  Hand 1 comes in at 620 - Ed wins.  Ed then sets the next bet, then Rich can do Higher or lower.  5 hands, someone must win !

In Response to Saturday Night on the cash tables with Rich and Ed:
All this month this is the official Sky Poker live TV show thread. So for the next show on 865 skip to the very latest posts and work your way backwards until you find the one where I give you the very latest details..  For all your hand requests, questions and banter on the shows please use this thread. On days when there's no live show this thread will still operate- giving you the lowdown on whatever the next live show is, answering your questions to me about the show and giving you the opportunity to get your questions to our poker guests nice and early. Cheers! :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Howdy pardners! All this month my mission is to draw your attention to our rather splendid broadcasts on Chanel No.865. Just to clarify for newbies (and oldies who are a bit slow) this is the regular schedule for the live shows... Every Thursday 8pm-midnight Every Saturday 9pm-1am and every Sunday 9pm-1am If you don’t have Sky and can’t watch Channel 865 on your TV then you can always watch the streaming video of the show live from the homepage of skypoker.com. So....what’s on the next show- Thursday March 3 rd ? Well, the show will be concentrating on the 8pm Sky Sports £15K Bounty Hunter and your show pilot will be a certain film-geek. I can’t decide whether to show the coolest photo of him from the internet... Or the most embarrassing one... So I’ll think I’ll do both. That’s fair. Yes, it's James Hartigan. And in the cock-pit, with the emphasis on the first part of that phrase, is a certain Tony Kendall Esq... Every photo of Tikay is embarrassing so I’ll just pick one at random... And they have a very special guest with them for the whole show.... One of Britain’s most successful poker players ever,  Julian Thew . Julian, known affectionately as Yoyo, because his chip stack often goes up and down dramatically during tournaments, has won over $2.5 million in his career so far, including the Baden Event of the European Poker Tour for just shy of a million dollars and in total NINE EPT cashes- making him 8 th on the all-time money list. Not only that, but he’s also carved it up on the British scene having won the GUKPT. To watch the man in action heads-up in the biggest win of his career (with Mr. Hartigan on commentary duties) click  here . A cracking show in prospect then.  How often do you get the chance to grill a top pro? Make sure you don’t waste this opportunity to get your questions in to Julian because, unlike the vast majority of players, this man has walked the walk. So that’s Thursday 3 rd  March at 8pm. Meantime, if you have any questions/comments about the next show, please post them below and I will endeavour to answer them...or find someone who can!

Right- here's your essential guide to your TV 'tainment live on 865 tonight.Yes, from 9pm we have a triumvirate of top poker talent. Well, a duo. And Tikay. Here’s the full cast...

    And...

Yes, James and Tikay will be joined by live show debutante, poker journalist Nick Pryce. He’s a regular player on Sky Poker under the alias Pryce6 and a familiar face from the Sky Poker Tour. Nick works for an online sports betting magazine as their poker correspondent. As for his playing style, he’s described as ‘aggro’. If this floats your boat, and you want to know how an aggro player’s mind works, be sure to tune in as Nick gives his informed take on our hands.Nick’s a tournament specialist, so you may want to ask him a few questions about to how he handles those or, since he seems to be right across the worldwide poker scene, you might want to ask him about his views on the big stories, famous players, trends, predictions or past controversies. Remember, he has the inside track! You can post your questions on this very thread.Meantime- here’s Nick’s Twitter pageAnd here’s his latest poker article, which is a fascinating one about possibly the biggest poker hand in history as won recently by a young chap called Tom Dwan. $11 million (£7million) apparently. Although it seems there’s some debate as to whether it actually happened. Perhaps someone could ask Nick about this too? They’ll be updates throughout the evening from the Viva Las Vegas semi-final as players go through to that dream final and a chance to bag a seat on the plane this summer. And they’ll be a smidgeon of cash action. But the main focus of the show will be the biggest game of the week-The Sunday Night Primo. So, for the world’s ultimate home game, pull up an armchair this Sunday with the chaps, log on, register for the Primo and play the game whilst watching the experts commentate on it LIVE!

Replying to questions that are no longer relevant.

    Vastly overated.

Thank you once again, Richard for your scene-setting syllables.  How can I do anything but fail to live up to that introduction?

Ladies and gentlemen, the £15k GTD Primo tournament does indeed commence at 8pm.  It'll cost you £55 to enter.  The accompanying TV show will appear on channel 865 at 9pm.  Tikay and I will be sitting in the swivelling white chairs, along with our special guest star Nick Pryce.

Please e-mail your questions for Nick to skyopen@bskyb.com, or post them in this forum thread, along with your play-my-hand requests (from the Primo) and your thoughts on tonight's hot topic...

Do you remember the poker scene of 2001?  None of the major international tours (WPT, EPT, etc.) existed; Internet poker was in its infancy and was still considered a novelty; the WSOP main event attracted 613 runners; 'Late Night Poker' was the only Hold'em show on TV; and my co-host still had sensible hair and most of his own teeth!

Suffice to say, things have changed dramatically in the last 10 years.  So, what does the future hold for the game we know and love?  What will be the state of the poker industry in 2021?  It's crystal ball time, people - get predicting!
